Kangana Ranaut Claims Her 'Struggle Was Much Tougher Than Shah Rukh': 'I Came From Village..'

Kangana Ranaut is busy promoting her upcoming Bollywood film, Emergency. The actress-turned-MP is working super hard, juggling her two extremely demanding careers. Amidst it, Kangana again made it to the headlines with her controversial interviews. Recently, she compared her struggle with the superstar, Shah Rukh Khan, and claimed that she had seen much more adversities than him.

Kangana Ranaut shared how she had a difficult journey to establish herself as an actor than Shah Rukh Khan

Recently, on Raj Shamani's podcast, Kangana Ranaut compared her journey with Shah Rukh Khan. She claimed that she had seen more struggle than the superstar. Kangana added that Shah Rukh grew up in a family who knew English well and studied in Delhi's convent school. His mother was a magistrate, and she came from a village. She was quoted as saying:

"His mother was a magistrate. He comes from a family that speaks good English, he came from a convent. From Delhi to Mumbai, it’s not much of a difference. But I came from a village and I’m a girl and I came as a teenager. Meri journey aur bhi difficult hoti hai."

Further, Kangana added that Shah Rukh lost his parents at a young age, which balances out their struggle. For those who don't know, Kangana started her acting journey with the film, Gangster and became an overnight star.

On the same show, Kangana Ranaut dismissed the claims that Anurag Basu spotted her at a cafe in Mumbai. She rubbished all such speculation and called it a PR strategy to promote her then-debut film, Gangster. Kangana added that she had given a proper audition for the film. She said:

"I gave many auditions, and then I got selected for Gangster. Aisa kuch nahi hua ki mujhe road pe paya gaya,” adding, “PR ka brain hota hai wo sab."

Kangana Ranaut's Bollywood career so far

Bollywood actress-turned-politician, Kangana Ranaut's journey from movies to politics is no less than an inspiration.
