Kangana Ranaut manages to hit the headlines very often with her statements on almost everything around her. However, she is immensely loved for her acting prowess and has also received a National Award in 2016 for Best Actress for the film, Tanu Weds Manu Returns. Next, she will be seen in her much-anticipated film, Emergency, where she will portray the role of 'Indira Gandhi'. Ahead of that, she stepped into politics and has been contesting the Lok Sabha election as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate for Himachal Pradesh's Mandi constituency.
Now, a video of Kangana Ranaut went viral on social media, wherein she was seen giving a speech at one of the rallies for her party. However, during her speech, she made a comparison between herself and Amitabh Bachchan. She mentioned that after Amitabh, if there is any actor in the industry who gets such love and respect in the industry, it is her. She shared:
"Sara desh hairaan hai, ki wo Kangana, chahe Rajasthan chali jau, chahe mai West Bengal chali jau, chahe mai Delhi chali jau, chahe mai Manipur chali jau, aisa lagta hai ki mano itna pyaar aur itna sammaan… Mein daave se keh sakti hu ke Amitabh Bachchan ji ke baad aaj kisiko industry me milta hai to wo mujhe milta hai."

As soon as the video of Kangana's speech surfaced on social media, netizens started reacting to it massively. Some social media users mentioned that Kangana has been living in a complete delusion, that she can make such drastic statements. A few others also pointed out that respect can't be measured in any terms, instead it is earned by diligence and immense hardwork.

Although Amitabh Bachchan extended his well wishes for Kangana when she earned the National Award, earlier, we had also stumbled upon a video, wherein Jaya Bachchan had ignored her. It was in 2022, during the screening of Sooraj Barjatya’s film, Uunchai in Mumbai, Jaya Bachchan graced the event along with several other celebs. In one of the videos from the same event, the veteran actress was seen getting a warm welcome from Anupam Kher, Kangana Ranaut and a few others. Seeing Jaya, Kangana approached her and greeted her, saying, ‘Hello Jaya ji’ with a smile. But Jaya was busy greeting someone else, and seemingly ignored Kangana.

Kangana keeps making drastic statements on various matters in the industry. Earlier, at Times Now Summit, the actress was asked about her views on Rahul Gandhi and she said that she sees him as just another industry insider. Taking an alleged dig at Alia Bhatt, Kangana called her a pampered child of the film industry. Kangana also mentioned that Alia got upset when the former received too many awards. Thus, when a video from the event surfaced online, Kangana's statement raised many eyebrows. Many netizens slammed the actress for being jealous of Alia. Kangana had said:
“Main unhe waise hee dekhti hu jaise film industry ka ‘raja beta’. Jaise waha unhone beti ko awards de diye. Ke kangana ko saare awards mil gaye, mujhe bhi chahiye. Ab ki baar saare awards unhi ko do. Naraz ho gayi hai yeh.”
