Kangana Ranaut is known as the controversial queen of Bollywood. Every now and then, she opens up about her opinions on various matters surrounding her. Not only this, her opinions and statements on those matters lead her to the middle of multiple controversies. But it should also be mentioned that Kangana never shies away from praising good work and worthy content in the entertainment business.

Kangana Ranaut praises Vikrant Massey for 12th Fail, years after calling him mean names

Something similar happened when Kangana Ranaut praised the ace actor, Vikrant Massey for his last released film, 12th Fail, without remembering the statements she had made about him years ago. Kangana took to her IG stories and heaped praises on him for his performance in the film. She shared the film's poster and wrote a lovely note commenting on Vikrant's 'beyond amazing' portrayal of a rural boy. For the unversed, Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 12th Fail revolves around UPSC aspirants and is based on the life of Manoj Kumar Sharma, who overcame poverty to become an IPS officer. She wrote:

“What a terrific film. Coming from Hindi medium myself belonging to a rural village and being a general caste student for entry tests without reservations in my school years, I was weeping throughout the film, ufff never cried so much in a flight, my co-passengers were stealing concerned glances at me, I am embarrassed.”

In the following story, Kangana even compared Vikrant with the late actor, Irrfan Khan. She mentioned how even the filmmaker put his best foot forward to make such an amazing, unmissable film. Not only that, Kangana shared a picture of the real-life man, who had such an inspirational journey for the millions of UPSC aspirants in his time. However, Vikrant hasn't responded to Kangana's post for him, yet. Kangana added:

"Vidhu sir has won my heart all over again, Vikrant Massey is beyond amazing!! In his coming years he might just fill the void Irfan Khan saab left behind...salutations to your talent dear one."

Why Kangana called Vikrant ‘cockroach’ back then

It was in 2021, when Yami Gautam had posted photos of her all-red bridal look, post-marriage with ace filmmaker and lyricist, Aditya Dhar. Soon, Vikrant subtly pulled her legs and teased her by commenting, “Pure and pious like Radhe Maa.” Vikrant's comment on his Himachali friend, Yami's post intrigued Kangana, and she jumped into the conversation. She then reacted to Vikrant's comment and called him with mean names. This was because Kangana is also a Himachali by birth, and Vikrant had called another Himachali actress 'Radhe Maa’ in her photos. Kangana commented:

How Vikrant reacted to Kangana's way of calling him a 'cockroach'

Later, in a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Vikrant was asked about his reaction to the incident when Kangana called him a 'cockroach'. To this, he mentioned how he consciously negates toxicity in his life and ignores such things. However, he called social media the worst public discourse platform and cited a quote about his favourite Roman emperor. In Vikrant's words:

“I really don’t pay attention to all these things. I try to very consciously negate toxicity in my life. That’s why I don’t go to Twitter much and I have been very vocal about it. That is one of the worst public discourse platforms that we have. But individually, I generally don’t tend to pay attention to these things. So, to wrap it up I will quietly quote one of my favourite writers Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius. You really pray for the ignorant. The only thing you can do for the ignorant and unaware is to pray for better sense and wish them the best in life.”
