Kangana Ranaut recently switched to politics after her successful stint in Bollywood. She even got elected as an MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, in the recent Lok Sabha elections. After winning, the actress-turned-politician headed to Delhi to attend a meeting held by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). However, en route to the national capital, Kangana faced a mishap at Chandigarh airport. She was slapped by a CISF official after the security check, which caused a stir on social media.
Kangana called out the CISF official and slammed those who supported her. After that, people on the internet quickly donned their investigative hats and dug out her old IG story in which she took Will Smith’s side when he had slapped Chris Rock. During the Oscars 2022, American actor-comedian, Chris Rock made fun of Will’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald head while he was hosting the event. The latter had shaved her head due to a condition called alopecia.

Will climbed on the stage while the show was still going on and slapped Chris in front of the crowd as the joke did not land well with the American actor. This divided people in favour and against Will Smith. One of the people, who came out in support of Will was none other than Kangana. She took to her IG story back then and penned, “If some idiot used my mom or sister’s illness to make a bunch of fools laugh, I would slap him like Will Smith did,” followed by clapping emojis.
On June 6, 2024, Kangana took to her IG stories and explained what had exactly happened to her at the Chandigarh airport. Sharing that she was fine, the actress-turned-politician revealed that as she proceeded to board her flight after the security check, a CISF personnel hit her on her face and cussed at her as well. Moreover, she took to her X (former Twitter) account on June 8, 2024, and again condemned the incident.

However, this time, netizens hit back at her for being a hypocrite. They replied with her post on the Will Smith slap incident and slammed her. One user wrote, “Nice post. This is called Doglapan...” Another one said, “She was, is, and will always be a Hypocrite to the core.” Meanwhile, a third person mentioned, “As per Kangana Ranaut, Will Smith can hit someone for making a joke on his wife, but another woman can’t hit her for calling her mother '100rs m baithne wali' & asking to behead her farmer father ?? Hypocrisy ki seema guys.”
