Jaya Bachchan is one of the most famous actresses in Bollywood, whose acting skills have won the hearts of the audience over the years. Apart from being an actress, Jaya has been serving as an MP in the Rajya Sabha from the Samajwadi Party. Time and again, Jaya makes it to the headlines for one reason or another. A few days ago, the actress refused to be called by her husband's name, and it caused a controversy. Kangana Ranaut, too, took a jibe at the actress for the same. Well, the opposite happened as Kangana recently praised Jaya.
During an event on News18, Kangana Ranaut was asked about her opinion of Jaya Bachchan. To this, the Emergency actress said that Jaya is one of the most successful actors, and in the 70s, she had sent a powerful message of women empowerment, which is simply praiseworthy. Kangana also added that Jaya is known for her short temper, but the way she has shelled out women empowering messages through her movies, it's worth acknowledging. She also lauded Jaya for the way the actress carries herself in her political field as well. Kangana said:

"Jaya Bachchan is one of our most successful actors. Honestly, she is known for her short temper but honestly at the same time, I would like to give her the acknowledgement and due credit that in those times… Can you imagine what times were the 70s and in those times, she did films like Guddi, she gave the message of women empowerment. I think she is one of the most dignified women in the film industry. The way she carries herself in the Rajya Sabha… I feel very good that there is such good representation from the film industry.”
At the same event, Kangana Ranaut said that Jaya Bachchan is one of such actresses who brings dignity to her craft. The actress further was asked about the spat she had with the veteran actress. Back in 2020, Jaya criticised Kangana Rananut's remarks on the topic of drugs in the Hindi film industry. When asked about the same, Kangana mentioned that if the elders mention something, it's not that bad. Kangana can be quoted as saying:
"If we say something to each other… I feel these are our elders, if they say something, it’s not bad.”
It was a few days ago when Jaya Bachchan became irritated as she was tagged as 'Jaya Amitabh Bachchan' in Rajya Sabha. Such a situation caused a whole lot of clamour around. When Kangana was asked to share her opinion on the same, she, in an interview with Fever FM, said that it's shameful how the basic differences between men and women are now seen as discrimination. She further tagged this to be a 'petty issue' and mentioned that things have been being taken in an ugly direction in the name of feminism.
Earlier, an old video of Jaya Bachchan from a BBC interview made rounds on social media. In the video, Jaya was seen with Amitabh Bachchan, and she looked beautiful in a yellow-hued saree. Middle-parted hairdo and soft makeup added stars to her look. In the video, Jaya revealed that she had three kids to take care of, and thus, she was not doing films. Well, in the video, Jaya looked almost like Kangana, and her sound was too quite similar to the Emergency actress, and it left people puzzled a bit.
