Kangana Ranaut always speaks out her heart and shares her opinions without any hesitation. The actress who rose to popularity with her flawless acting talent and vision to choose diverse roles has always been an important voice in the industry. From nepotism to outsiders' debate, Kangana has started crucial discussions in the industry. In a new interview, Kangana shared her views on the latest debate on the 'alpha Male' concept, which began after the massive success of Ranbir Kapoor's Animal.
Kangana has been on a promotional spree for her upcoming film, Emergency, which will soon be released at the box office. Recently, she sat down for an interview with Siddharth Kannan and shared her views on the new discussion around the concept of 'alpha male' in society. The actress said the term seems like a good idea, but people don't understand its meaning, which misleads the younger generation.
Kangana Ranaut added that lord Ram, lord Krishna, Arjun, etc were 'alpha males'. She said people don't want to know or adopt their good virtues. Instead, they are becoming like Raavan on the pretext of being an 'alpha male'. She was quoted as saying:
"People resort to becoming alpha males to fool others with their wrong deeds. Such actions might make people enjoy themselves for some time, but they will fall face down. When you don't have an understanding of something, you want to exploit that... If you are an alpha male then why are you being Raavan? Be Ram."
In the same conversation, Kangana mentioned that nowadays, films showcase dark concepts like murder and bloodbaths without mentioning how such crimes are liable for strict punishment. The Queen actress mentioned that these films perform well at the box office, and many people cheer for it despite its patriarchy. In her words:
“Kis tarah ki film hai aap dekh lijiye. Box office pe bawaal machati hai patriarchal film, oho. Dekh ke lagta hai ki kahan se nikal rahe hain yeh log taaliyan seetiyaan marne? Kulhaadi leke agar ladke nikle aur maara maar khoon sirf kulhaadi leke nikle hue hain. Na koi unko law and order pooch raha hai kuch. Machine guns leke voh school main jaate hain, jaise ki police hai hi nahi. Jaise ki uske consequences hain hi nahi.”
The BJP MP mentioned that nowadays, films show fights and hooliganism, which sends a wrong message to the youth. Further, she noted that there is an impact on everything and that makers should take responsibility. At the same time, Kangana admitted that there is unfair treatment based on gender in Bollywood.
