Kangana Ranaut needs no introduction in Bollywood. She is known for her grace, courage, and immense acting talent. Coming from a simple background, she made it big all by herself. The actress can quickly get into the skin of any complex character and portray it on-screen with perfection. She is one of the few actors who has never avoided voicing honest thoughts about different issues. However, Kangana's unique style has always made her a popular figure and mimicry artists often imitate her. In a new interview, Kangana shared her views on being imitated by mimicry artists and how she feels about it.
Recently, Kangana Ranaut sat down for an interview with Bollywood Hungama to promote her upcoming film, Emergency. She discussed how some people will likely get offended because she made a film on sensitive political incidents. In her response, Kangana discussed how she doesn't get angry or irritated when some mimicry artist imitates her.

Kangana added that she often sees videos in which mimicry artists imitate her and admits she is a popular figure in the world of mimicry. However, she doesn't get offended about it. So, she hopes people will take the film similarly. She was quoted as saying:
"Main apni mimicry dekhti hoon. Kitne log mujhe mimic karte hain. Main to bohot zyada popular hoon mimicry ki duniya me. Bahut mere mimicry artist hain. Aisa nahi hai ki hum dekhte hain aur hum offend ho jaate hain.”
In the same interview, Kangana admitted that she gets flattered when an artist carefully pays attention to her style and intricate actions for their mimicry. She shared that she gets impressed and flattered when a mimicry artist imitates her correctly because she resonates with their feelings. At the same time, she isn't concerned about what people might think about her because she has poured her heart into making the film and will see how it performs at the release. In her words:
“Jab koi bohot dil se kisine mimic kiya ho, mujhe bareeki se pees ke pi liya ho, uspe hum prabhavit aur mohit ho jaate hain. Kyuki wo bhav aap tak pahuch jaata hai. Main kabhi second guess nahi karti ki ye mere baare me kya sochega, wo kya sochega. Maine ye film apne nazariye se banayi hai aur dekhte hain iska kya parinaam hoga.”
On the work front, Kangana was last seen in Tejas, where she played the titular role of an Indian Air Force pilot. However, the film didn't perform well at the box office. Earlier this year, Kangana entered politics and contested the Lok sabha elections as a BJP candidate from the Mandi constituency, winning it. Kangana will next be seen in her film, Emergency, portraying the role of former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, co-starring Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhary. The film is scheduled to release on September 6, 2024.
