Kangana Ranaut is currently busy doing the promotions of her next directorial, Emergency, which is slated to release on September 6, 2024. The actress is dropping truth bombs in her latest interviews and exposing other celebrities with her shocking revelations. Now, Kangana has reacted to actor-turned-politician, Jaya Bachchan’s name row in the parliament and called the latter arrogant.
In an interview with Fever FM, Kangana Ranaut talked about the incident involving Jaya Bachchan and called it a very shameful thing. She mentioned that the differences between men and women, created by nature, are now being looked at as discrimination. Taking a dig at the concept of feminism these days, Kangana Ranaut said:

“This is a very shameful thing that today, the beautiful differences between a man and a woman, as made by nature, is looked at as discrimination. A man is a man, and a woman is a woman, and their togetherness is something beautiful. These are petty issues. In the name of feminism, people are going in a ugly direction… Society is going into an ugly direction.”
Kangana Ranaut further slammed Jaya Bachchan for her need to assert her individual identity and called her arrogant. She mentioned that this arrogance has ruined even the beautiful bond within families. However, strongly criticising Jaya's take on losing her identity, Kangana said:
“This arrogance hasn’t spared even the beautiful bond within families. Humans should embrace each other and not dissect each other with this sort of harshness. People are simply flaring up with the name coming up like they’re getting a panic attack or something. And when they say, ‘My identity is taken over, I am destroyed’ I just feel sad.”
Earlier, Jaya Bachchan found herself at the centre of controversy in the Parliament. On July 29, 2024, during a parliament session, when Rajya Sabha Chairman, Jagdeep Dhankar addressed Jaya Bachchan by her husband, Amitabh Bachchan's name, she lost her calm at him. It so happened that Dhankar read Jaya's name from a cue kept in front of him and said, “Shrimati Jaya Amitabh Bachchan ji, please.” To this, Jaya replied:
“Sir, sirf Jaya Bachchan bolte to kaafi hojata.”

Kangana Ranaut faced her lowest phase, which ended in 2014 with the release of the film, Queen. In an interview with India Today, she stated that the audience got bored with the old patterns back then and was ready to see something new and authentic. Elaborating on this, Kangana claimed that no one in the industry accepted her perspective, which forced her to leave India. She moved to Calabasas in the US after that, where she hired an agent and filmed a short movie. The actress added that despite being told she was good at acting, nobody cast her due to some insecurities.
