Kangana Ranaut Recalls Throwing Tantrum Over Hotels Room To Producers, Says 'Karma Hit Her Back'

Kangana Ranaut is one such name that needs no introduction in Bollywood. She is one of the finest actresses in the present generation, known for her grace, acting prowess, and versatility as a performer. But what truly sets her apart is her outspoken nature. Her ability to challenge stereotypes and speak her mind has always charmed audiences. The actress recently became a producer and in an interview, she candidly shared her experiences.

Kangana Ranaut shared how karma hit her back when she became a producer

Kangana Ranaut recently had an interview with Mashable India, Kangana was asked now that she is a producer does she empathise with production managers over actor's demands. To this, Kangana recollected how she used to have diva-like demands on sets and refused to shoot if she did not get her desired room. In Kangana's words:

"That reality check happened with me. That karma came back to haunt me. I told my brother one day that it is my karma. We would also say that we need this particular hotel, or we wouldn't shoot."

Kangana added that the same thing happened to her when she became a producer, and actors would have over-the-top demands. However, she introspected that her karma hit her back, and now she has to face the same things that her producers had to face back in the day. Kangana further added:

"I have always been a very empathetic person. I don't like people who are fake. I hate fake people. I am the most gentle, soft-hearted, empathetic…"

Kangana Ranaut praises Salman Khan but critiques his film

Kangana Ranaut is known for her outspoken nature and she doesn't hold back. Currently, she's promoting her upcoming film, Emergency, and in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, she didn't shy away from expressing her thoughts on Salman Khan. The actress revealed that she was offered roles in Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan, but she didn't find the roles suitable and turned them down. Kareena Kapoor and Anushka Sharma later took up the roles, but Kangana didn't see the potential in them. In her own words:

“Salman offered me a role in Bajrangi Bhaijaan; I was like ‘Yeh kya role diya hai?’ (what is this role?). He then approached me for Sultan. I didn’t take that up. He was like, ‘What more do I offer to you now?'” 

Kangana Ranaut then clarified that despite rejecting the roles, she has always had a positive relationship with Salman. She emphasized that Salman Khan has always been supportive and encouraging. She also mentioned that Salman is eagerly looking forward to her upcoming film, Emergency. Kangana further added: 

“Salman is so kind. He keeps talking to me. He is even excited to watch Emergency. We have a common friend, he sent him and was like ‘you go see what film she has made’. He called me and said, ‘It’s a nice film’. I was like, ‘So you have the news, but you haven’t watched it yourself.’ This is the kind of bonding we share.”

Kangana Ranaut's professional front 

On the professional front, Kangana's journey has been nothing short of remarkable. Her role as an Indian Air Force pilot in Tejas, though the film didn't perform well at the box office, was a testament to her versatility. Earlier this year, she ventured into politics and emerged victorious, winning the Lok Sabha elections as a BJP candidate from the Mandi constituency. Her upcoming film, Emergency, where she plays the role of former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, is highly anticipated. Co-starring Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, and Mahima Chaudhary, the film is scheduled to release on September 6, 2024.
