Kangana Ranaut is undoubtedly one of the most controversial personalities in Bollywood. The talented actress' unfiltered opinions have often made her the center of discussion in the industry. Despite having conflicts with many people in the industry, Kangana has also developed a strong bond with some of her co-stars. One of them has been with her former co-star, and now MP, Chirag Paswan. The friendship of these former co-stars and now MPs became a big topic of discussion among the netizens. In a new interview, Kangana Ranaut shared her views on the same.
In 2024, Kangana began a new phase in her career as she contested the Lok Sabha elections from the Mandi constituency as a BJP candidate. The actress registered an excellent victory and became a member of Parliament. As the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Parliament members began in June 2024, Kangana made her way into the Lok Sabha where she bumped into fellow MP and former co-star, Chirag Paswan. For the unversed, Kangana and Chirag shared the screen space in the Bollywood movie, Miley Na Miley Hum in 2011.

The photos and videos of Kangana and Chirag meeting each other went viral. It had put them both under spotlight and netizens praised the duo's bond. Recently, Kangana sat down for an interview with Aaj Tak and shared how she went to the Parliament to represent her constituency. She added that Chirag is her good friend and they have known each other for a long time. However, as they shared a laugh once or twice it made headlines. As a result, Chirag has begun to stay away from her to avoid the media spotlight. She was quoted as saying:
“Leave Parliament out of it. It is the temple of our Constitution. I represent my constituency there. Chirag ko main bohat pehle sey jaanti hun, wo mera accha dost hai, bechare ney ek do baar hansa diye mujhe lekin aap log to peeche hi pad gaye, ab wo bhi rasta badalkar chala jaata hai.”
Before Kangana, Chirag Paswan gave his take on his and Kangana's friendship and how their photos went viral. In his interview with ANI, the politician shared that he and Kangana have been good friends and looked forward to meeting her in Parliament. Chirag revealed that he had lost contact with her because he had been busy with work for the past three years. In his words:
"Only good thing that happened to me after trying my luck in acting is that Kangana and I became really good friends. That’s one good thing we carried from that time. And I was really looking forward to meeting Kangana in the parliament because the past three years, I was so busy in my own life that I had lost my connection with her.”
The MP further said that he and Kangana have been busy in their respective work, and it was delightful to meet and reconnect. However, when asked if he wanted to give any tips to Kangana about the work or speech as a Member of Parliament, Chirag laughed and mentioned that she didn't need any of them.

On the work front, Kangana was last seen in the movie, Tejas where she played the role of an airforce pilot. She will next be seen playing the role of former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi in her film, Emergency, co-starring the late Satish Kaushik, Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, and Milind Soman in vital roles. The film will be released on September 6, 2024.
