Kangana Ranaut is busy doing interviews and promotional events for her upcoming film, Emergency. In one such recent interview, she candidly revealed shocking truths about her life and struggles during her early acting days in Bollywood. The Fashion actress is always surrounded by controversies and criticisms for her outgoing personality, which she recently addressed in her interview with India Today.
Talking about the lowest phase of her career, Kangana claimed that she was forced to leave India, after which she moved to Calabasas in the US, where she hired an agent and filmed a short movie. The actress stated that no one in the industry accepted her perspective and opinions and, hence, she received high criticism.

The Panga actress mentioned that despite being told she was good at acting, no one had cast her due to some insecurities, and she was seen as unfit for the industry. Talking further on facing disapprovals for her perspectives, she stated:
“Mujhe iss desh se nikaal diya gaya tha. Aur aisa kaun kehta hai ki mujhe Sainiko ka sammaan nahi hai. Main aisa kyu kehti Subhash Chandra Bose humare first PM the, (kyuki) unhone Azad Hind Fauj banaya tha. Aap unko discredit kar sakte hai toh wo theek hai, lekin main kisi ko credit dedu toh wo theek nahi hai?"
Kangana’s lowest phase, which continued for many years, ended in 2014 with the release of the film, Queen. She believed that the audience at that time got bored with the old patterns and was ready to see something new and authentic.
Kangana Ranaut is known for playing roles about women empowerment, for which she has also received several awards. She began her Bollywood journey in 2006 with the thriller movie, Gangster, directed by Anurag Basu. Despite being an outsider in Bollywood, she received much appreciation for her debut movie and was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She was further seen in intense roles in movies like Woh Lamhe, Life in a Metro, and Fashion.

Soon she was cast in films like Raaz: The Mystery Continues, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, Queen, Manikarnika, and Tanu Weds Manu, which were all commercially successful. However, during her recent interview, the popular actress revealed that she experienced years of setbacks despite receiving praises for her roles. The actress is now gearing up for her next movie, Emergency, which will release in theatres on September 6, 2024.
