Actress, Kangana Ranaut often hits the headlines for her controversial statements. Be it talking about nepotism or any other matter of social concern, Kangana is known for calling a spade a spade and speaking her mind out. Kangana, who had made her debut under the Bhatt clan with the film, Gangster has often stated that she had to undergo a lot in the industry to make a name for herself.
She had raised many eyebrows when she had called Karan Johar, a movie mafia and had talked about nepotism in Bollywood on his chat show, Koffee With Karan. And now her recent outing at Salman Khan's sister, Arpita Khan and her husband, Aayush Sharma's Eid party raised a few eyebrows.

On May 3, 2022, Arpita Khan Sharma and Aayush Sharma hosted an Eid party, which was attended by an array of celebrities. From Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Ritesh Deshmukh, Genelia Deshmukh, Shehnaaz Gill, Sushmita Sen, Karan Johar and many other A-listers of B-town attended the bash. Among the guests, Kangana Ranaut too marked her presence in a white sharara.
However, Kangana's presence irked the netizens because she is often seen making fun of Bollywood's A-listers and their lifestyle and now she attended one of their parties. Moments after Kangana's video was posted, netizens trolled her mercilessly. Another reason for the actress being trolled was her controversial statements against Muslims and then celebrating their festival. While a user compared her with a Chameleon for changing colours. Another one called it a strategic move to promote her upcoming film, Dhaakad, slated to be released on May 20, 2022. Shocked by the same, a user commented, "Now her movie is up for release. She wants to lick Salman khan's feet."

A few months back, Kangana Ranaut had taken a jibe at an ad on kanyadaan, featuring Alia Bhatt. In the commercial, Alia, who played the role of a bride, objects to the practice of kanyadaan. Bollywood’s Manikarnika, Kangana Ranaut had reacted to the commercial and had asked the brand not to mix it with 'religion'.

Kangana had taken to her IG handle and had explained the real meaning of kanyadaan. Kangana had tagged the brand and Alia Bhatt and had stated that the ad was trying to mislead its customers using religion and politics. She had captioned her post as:
"Humble request to all brands….. don’t use religion, minority, majority politics to sell things…. Stop manipulating naive consumers with shrewd divisive concepts and advertising… #mohey @aliaabhatt @moheyfashion @stylebyami."
On the work front, Kangana is currently hosting the reality show, Lock Upp!
