Each episode of Bigg Boss 18 brings with it something new to talk about, and one or more contestants end up making headlines. A few days back, the spotlight was on Alice Kaushik, as she claimed that her boyfriend, Kanwar Dhillon wanted to marry her. However, Kanwar had a very different story for the media, insisting he had no interest in settling down so soon. The Pandya Store actor also flat-out denied the rumours of having already proposed to Alice.
Alice Kaushik's announcement on national television that her boyfriend, Kanwar Dhillon wanted to marry her led to the actor being bombarded with questions. His fans and close ones alike couldn't stop badgering him for updates on his proposal and marriage plans. So, Kanwar decided to address rumours once and for all in an interview with TellyMasala.

In the interview, Kanwar brought up Alice's statement in the Bigg Boss 18 house, quoting it as "Kanwar toh directly approached me for marriage." With a confused expression, Kanwar related that the moment his mother heard Alice say that, she gave him a look. He then clarified to his mother and now to TellyMasala what his actual words had been and said:
"Mein bola I want to date you because you’re the kind of girl I would like to get married to. Ki matlab, you know, you’re that kind of girl jisse date karke yaar, settle ho sakte ho aap aage. Toh mene esa bola tha. Ab usne wo bolne ke excitement mein jis tarah andar bola hai, mereko toh logon ke messages aa rahe hai."
In the same interview, Kanwar Dhillon revealed that he had received messages about his proposal to Alice 'four years ago' following her revelation in Bigg Boss 18. The actor wasted no time denying the same and clarified that he had not proposed to anyone. Firmly stating that he had no intentions of getting married or settling down, Kanwar said:
“Pagal ho gaya hu mein jawab dete dete. Aur jo log mujhe jaante hai, sab ko pata hai ki mujhe koi shaadi waadi mein zyada interest hai hi nahi itni jaldi. Mujhe settle nahi hona, abhi time hai. Paanch saal toh kahin na kahin.”
Kanwar further spoke about how people had been overanalysing his past actions to try and figure out when he had proposed to Alice. One instance that the actor highlighted took place during Ravivaar With Star Parivaar. According to Kanwar, he had to go down on one knee in a performance, and people were viewing that as a proposal. However, he addressed the rumours and said:

“Arreh nahi bhai, esa koi prposal nahi hai. Ghar par heart attack aa jata sabko. Matlab tension mein aa rahe the rishtedaar, koi shaadi waadi nahi hai.”
