Reminiscing about the time when he gate-crashed a wedding during his college days, Kapil shared in a recent interview, "During our college days, me with my friends used to go to weddings to eat good food. Once we were caught red-handed by an Uncle and then my friend made up a story saying food in college’s mess got finished and we don’t have anything to eat. Although we had eaten the food by that time but uncle insisted to eat and dance and we had twice the amount of food. Then we danced also, this is the one experience I can never forget.”
Revealing that given their conservative family background, he and Ginni had never dated. He had introduced Ginni to his parents back in their college days but never took their relationship forward due to the differences in their social status. Kapil was quoted as saying, "We did not have the usual dating scenario as both our families are conservative. Last year, when I was going through a low phase, she was there with me throughout. That’s when I felt that if she is with me during my low phase, then she is the one for me. I can rely on her."
Looking forward to the positive change that marriage will bring in his life, the ecstatic to-be groom shared, "She takes good care of me and is a huge support in my life. People like me are surrounded by many people at work or events or otherwise, but when you come home, ghar khali lagta hai."
Revealing how love blossomed between them, Kapil shared in an interview, “She studied in HMV College (Jalandhar). I was a scholarship holder, as I was a national winner in theatre. I was a student of APJ College and in order to make some pocket money, I started directing plays. I went to audition students at her college and that’s how we met in 2005.” Ginni then went to audition for a play and that’s where the two met for the first time. Kapil continued, “She was 19 then and I was 24. I was tired of taking auditions and explaining the role to the girls. Ginni was so good that I was quite impressed with her and told her to audition the girls for me. As we started the rehearsals, she started bringing food for me. Back then, I thought that she was doing it out of respect.” (Also Read: Groom-To-Be Kapil Sharma Asks Amitabh Bachchan For Some Wedding Tips, His Reply Is Epic [VIDEO])
