Being a workaholic can sometimes bring troubles in your life, especially on the special days of your life. Most of us prefer to take off and spend our special days like birthday or anniversary with our loved ones, without stressing about our office or business. However, for some of us, our work becomes our priority and everything can take a backseat. Kapil Sharma is also one of those, who has prioritised his work above his wife on their anniversary and he has a witty reason for this. For the unversed, ‘Comedy King’, Kapil Sharma had gotten married to his long-time sweetheart, Ginni Chatrath in a big fat traditional Punjabi wedding in Jalandhar on December 12, 2018. It was on December 10, 2019, that Ginni Chatrath had given birth to a little angel, Anayra Sharma and elated daddy, Kapil had shared the good news with his fans on his social media handle. Now, the little girl has turned 1 year old and it is her parents’ second anniversary, but her daddy has made a witty excuse for being absent on the big day of his life.
Taking to his IG handle on the occasion of his second anniversary, Kapil shared his picture from the sets of his comedy show. Yes, as we said, Kapil is amongst the workaholic ones and he is working on his anniversary as well. The comedian has asked for an apology from his wife, Ginni Chatrath for not being with her on their special day and has presented a witty reason for this. Stating that he needs money to buy her a gift and thus, he has to be on the sets, he wrote, “Sorry baby @ginnichatrath m working on our anniversary gift dena hai to kamana b to padega #happyanniversary my love see u in the evening.” Isn’t he the king of wits?
Kapil and Ginni had celebrated their first anniversary with the arrival of their daughter. Thanking everyone for the wishes and blessings on his first anniversary, Kapil had tweeted, “Today, on our first anniversary me and Ginni take an opportunity to thanks all of you for all the love & blessings you have showered on us and our little one. Can’t thank God enough for blessing us with the best gift of our life. In an interview with the Bombay Times, Kapil and Ginni had gotten candid about how they had met. Speaking about how love had brewed between the duo, Kapil had stated, “She studied in HMV College (Jalandhar). I was a scholarship holder, as I was a national winner in theatre. I was a student of APJ College and in order to make some pocket money, I started directing plays. I went to audition students at her college and that’s how we met in 2005.” Ginni had then gone to audition for a play and that’s where the two had met for the first time. Kapil had continued, “She was 19 then and I was 24. I was tired of taking auditions and explaining the role to the girls. Ginni was so good that I was quite impressed with her and told her to audition the girls for me. As we started the rehearsals, she started bringing food for me. Back then, I thought that she was doing it out of respect.”

In an interaction with The Times of India, Kapil Sharma had talked about how he wants to live and stay fit for his wife, Ginni and daughter, Anayra. He had said, “Mujhe abhi bhi lagta hai ke mera bachpana nahin gaya hai. I guess, I like to be in that zone. I think that life teaches you something every day.
