India’s favourite comedian, Kapil Sharma, has been the talk of the town ever since he bagged fame. His comedy timings, spontaneity, IQ and what not have led him to where he is standing today. But Kapil has seen his own share of ups and downs, before and after, attaining popularity. It was on December 12, 2018, Kapil tied the knot with his longtime love, Ginni Chatrath. And things have gotten better and better in both his personal and professional lives, ever since. In an interaction with Pinkvilla recently, Kapil got candid about the success of his show, The Kapil Sharma Show, his bond with mother Janak Rani, the changes in life post marriage with Ginni Chatrath and much more. On being asked about how his mother feels about his comeback, Kapil shared, “My mom is very happy currently. She used to worry a lot about me earlier especially because she used to stay a lot in Amritsar. She used to speak to me when any gossip and rumours used to be out. But now she is happy. After Ginni has come in our family, my mother spends more time with her. Sometimes, I feel they share a deeper bond and tuning than me. Ginni loves my mother a lot and via versa.”
Further, when she was asked if he agrees with Bharti Singh, who had stated that Ginni is his lucky charm, he nodded and was quoted as saying, “I believe in this completely. There are so many responsibilities on both professional and personal front which now Ginni takes care of, so I don't have to worry so much. She loves me a lot and makes sure that I keep a track of my health, which I had neglected for sometime.” On further being probed as to what has changed with Ginni in life, the Firangi actor remarked, “I have started eating on the dining table. There is a lot of discipline in my life now, I think.” (Checkout: Ekta Kapoor Shares The First-Ever Glimpse Of Her New Home, Her In-House Gym Is Extravagant)
Kapil further went on to share about his health and stated, “As time passes, people mature and the most you learn is from your failures, I believe. When your show is doing great, when you are busy, there is nothing you get to learn from life but when you see a little downfall, that's the time you know more about the people and they get filtered. So, whatever happened then, now I feel, it was for good.”
Expressing his happiness on the success of TKSS, the 38-year-old star retorted, “Accha lagta hai. The sixer that the show has hit as we launched again is NOT us but the audience and their love. Also, after a point, you don't worry about positioning or anything. We are not competing with anyone. The only competition we have is with ourselves. The only pressure we have is about being able to provide the audience the same kind of entertainment that we have been for the past few years. I think people love us because we have tried our level best to make them laugh and we will continue to do so. My team has been working relentlessly for the same. Even I was waiting to be on stage because I can't be on a break for such a long time. This was my longest break I think.” (You May Also Like: Chhavi Mittal Calms Scared Mommies-To-Be By Revealing An Astonishing Pregnancy Secret Of Hers)

On reuniting with Krushna and Bharti, Kapil shared, “The support was great. The team was very excited and everyone there doesn't take work as work, it is like festival for them. We all meet, party and work everyday, and more than me, my team is excited and that is even seen in their work. We now try avoiding night shoots and mostly keep it scheduled for the day. Even if someone wants to do a night shoot, we usually tell them that we won't be able to because health is the priority. We, of course, make a few adjustments here and there depending on the celebs request but it is fun.”
Recently, on Arbaaz Khan's chat show Pinch, Kapil opened up about his spat with Sunil. He said, "I like Sunil a lot...There was just a misunderstanding between us. Someone asked me that why I am not taking him in show and in a fit of rage I wrote on Twitter that I was ready to take him, it's he who doesn't want to come back on the show." Kapil went on to add, "I have learned a lot from that incident. If we have a misunderstanding, we should not share it on social media. If you are mad at somebody, just pick up the phone and message. Also, this new trend of wishing birthday on Twitter is strange. If you don't do it, people think they do not get along well.”
Further clearing the buzz about a shoe, he threw at Sunil, Kapil revealed, "There were reports that Kapil threw a shoe at Sunil and he has a problem with the team eating food before him... Do you think I am such kind of a person who will fight for this reason? I never accepted such a thing and not even Sunil mentioned about it anywhere... Then who is writing such articles?"
Here's wishing Kapil Sharma all the success that he deserves, and may he keep entertaining us like this always!
