The ace comedian, Kapil Sharma is loved for his humble nature and exceptional skills to make everyone laugh their lungs out. Apart from being a talented artist, Kapil is also a doting husband to his wife, Ginni Chatrath, and a loving father to their two little munchkins, Anayra and Trishaan. Every now and then, he pulls his wife's leg during his shows or public appearances. However, he also never misses a chance to laud Ginni for her dedication, support and love towards him. Once again, he cutely revealed that Ginni takes away his phone at night but also mentioned the valid reasons behind it.
For the unversed, in 2017, Kapil Sharma went through the most challenging phase of his life, as he fought alcoholism and suicidal thoughts. During that time, he had also made an impulsive tweet addressed to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Hinting towards it, Kapil during his appearance on the TV show, Aap Ki Adalat, mentioned how his wife, Gini Chatrath makes sure that her husband doesn't repeat such mistakes. Thus, at times, when he starts drinking at night, Ginni used to take away his phone. Kapil elaborated:
“Roz 10 baje ke baad toh nahi, jab kabhi kabhi mere 11.30 bajte hain na, toh fir vo...(she takes my phone)...vo sayani hai na, usko pata hai phir kuch panga kar dega.. (hinting at the time when he made the infamous drunk tweet to PM Modi)."

In the same conversation, Kapil mentioned how he has stopped posting on social media the way he used to do earlier. He also admitted that he used to put his nose in everything happening around him earlier and had the habit of expressing his views on them. But finally, he has changed his thinking about his responsibility towards his kids. He mentioned:
“Now I do not post on social media..haan pehle aise kar deta tha… pehle merko har baat mein ghusne ki aadat thi. I used to comment on every issue. I expressed my opinions without anyone asking for them, sometimes you invite trouble for yourself. But now there is a lot of change in me, after two children, you get a sense of responsibility. After a few years, my kids will start reading what’s there on Twitter, vo sochenge humara baap aisa hai?"
In another interview with India TV, Kapil Sharma had opened up about his darkest phase when alcohol had become a part of his life. While sharing the details of his life’s most tragic and depressing phase, Kapil revealed how one day, Amitabh Bachchan came to the studio to do a voice-over for his upcoming film, and he was supposed to welcome Big B. However, he couldn’t go and meet Big B on time because of his anxiety problem. Kapil further added that he could not go out of his house and decided to have two drinks to suppress his anxiety. At the end of his interview, Kapil also shared that he had felt so bad after meeting Amitabh in a drunken state that he decided to send him a personal apology. In reply to this, Amitabh told him that "Jeevan chunotiyon ka hi doosra naam hai toh aap uthke dobara khade hoiye." And this was a life-changing moment for him.
