For the Akhand Path, Ginni wore a purple lehenga which she teamed up with a pink dupatta. On December 3, 2018, Ginni’s bangle ceremony took place at her residence at Hardev Nagar. The bride-to-be was decked up in a red sharara with golden work on it and donned a heavy gold jewellery. Ginni happily posed with all her guests for selfies and family photographs. Here are the pictures from Ginni’s bangle ceremony.
Revealing the details of pre-wedding, wedding and post-wedding functions, Kapil shared in an interview with BollywoodLife, "The wedding is on December 12 in Jalandhar. Contrary to reports, we are not engaged yet and will complete all the ceremonies in December. My mother has organised a jagran at my home on December 10, and there will be an ‘Akandh Path’ at Ginni’s house on December 30. Our pre-wedding functions will include the bangle ceremony, cocktail and mehendi. We had decided to host a reception on December 22, but it is subject to change, as we are yet to finalise the venue. We are not going on a honeymoon anytime soon, because I will start shooting for my show immediately."

Kapil announced his wedding with Ginni on social media by releasing their wedding invite. The wedding card with golden carvings is indeed unique and mark the simplicity that the couple flaunts. Their wedding invite could be read as, “With great joy in our hearts and blessings of our parents, it gives us immense pleasure to announce that Ginni and I will embark on a new journey of love, respect and togetherness on 12th of December, 2018. We would like to thank each and every one who has been a part of our wonderful sojourn and seek the best wishes and prayers of all our loved ones, lots of love.” (Also Read: Kapil Sharma And Girlfriend Ginni Chatrath's Complete Pre-Wedding Dates And Details Inside)
In an interview recently, Ginni revealed why she thought Kapil is the ‘one’ for her and she would want the rest of her life with him. The bride-to-be remarked, "Kapil is a gem of a person and very caring. There is no one like him and I can’t find anyone better than him. He is a family man. If he loves his mother and sister so much, it’s certain that he would love his partner, too. He is a star for the audience, not for me. He is still humble the way he was years ago and hasn’t changed at all."
Ginni Chatrath further added, "I trust him blindly. Whatever he says, that’s the truth for me. I don’t care what the world says." Kapil shared his transformation in thoughts from believing that ‘he would never be able to marry’ to ‘the importance of having a partner’. Kapil shared, “I used to feel that I wouldn’t be able to marry, since I am not a responsible person. I love two things — my work and music. I have many friends in the music industry and I would often jam with them, without taking stock of time. Initially, I wouldn’t like anyone calling me at that hour. After a point, however, I started feeling the void. I think that with time, I realised the importance of having a partner."
Sharing their plans for 2019, Kapil stated, "I would like to balance my personal and professional life. I will take breaks regularly aur ghoomna hai. I will take time out for myself, it’s important. I have decided to not trust people blindly. I have also quit alcohol." While Ginni said, "I am looking forward to our marriage (smiles)."
Speaking how he got rejected by Ginni’s father when his mother took the marriage proposal to their house, Kapil recalled, "When I started earning well, my mother took my marriage proposal to her family, which got rejected. Inke papaji ne bade pyaar se bola, ‘Shut up’ (laughs!). Thereafter, I got busy with work, while she pursued MBA in finance. I guess, she kept studying to avoid marriage proposals. At that time, I was settled in Mumbai, and so much was happening in my life.”
Kapil further added, “I then realised ki itna kuchh hua hai, but isne kabhi mujhe disturb nahi kiya. Itna patience kisi mein nahi dekha maine. Jab ye sab gadbad chal rahi thi, that’s when I decided that it was the right time to marry. It was my decision, because ye toh padhai kare hi jaa rahi thi (laughs!). So, on December 24, 2016, I called and told Ginni that I wanted to marry her. My mother has always been fond of her."
