Karan Johar appeared on Kapil Sharma's show, The Great Indian Kapil Show, along with Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina. The premiere episode was action-packed. However, during one of the segments, Karan gave a savage reply when the host read comments under Alia Bhatt's photo while attending Ambani's wedding, which left everyone laughing out loud.
During one of the segments, Komment Ki Khujli, on Kapil's show, a picture was shown of Alia and Ranbir attending Ambani's son, Anant's wedding festivities. However, one comment grabbed everyone's attention. The user wrote, "Alia be like, ‘Let’s check what they are serving in the buffet.’ Ussi hisaab se lifafe me shagun denge’."

While Alia laughed out loud, Karan quickly gave his expert comment. He quipped how they do not have a worth to give the Ambanis 'shagun', which left the audience bursting out in laughter. He said:
“Unko kya shagun hum denge? Aukaat hi nahi hai."
Karan knows how to clap back at the mean comment. A while ago, a user tried to take a dig at his personal equation with his kids. A while ago, when he shared a post, a troller blatantly questioned the filmmaker about his kids, Yash and Roohi's biological mother. Karan, who was left shocked, strongly reacted to the same. He wrote:
"I am!!! I am so worried about your confused state, so I had to answer your pertinent and relevant query."
Earlier, in an interview with Faye D'Souza, Karan shared the challenges he faced as a single parent. He revealed that his kids have started asking him questions about their birth and their biological mother. The filmmaker revealed that he is also wondering how to answer these innocent questions from his twins. He said:

"It is a modern family. It is an unusual circumstance, so now I am also dealing with the questions about 'whose stomach was I born in? But mumma is not mumma really, she is my grandmother."
