Recently, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani graced the 8th episode of the popular reality show, Koffee With Karan. During the stars' conversation with the show's host, Karan Johar, the latter was seen praising Kiara for her role in his directorial film, Lust Stories. Karan mentioned that the film was one of Kiara's initial works in the Hindi film industry, and no one could do the 'open-orgasm' scene better than her. He said, "Who can actually attribute an entire second innings to an orgasm? Only you(pointing towards Kiara)." Soon, Kiara added, "But with your help." However, Karan continued by revealing that earlier, he had offered the role to Kriti Sanon. However, it was her mother who rejected Kriti from doing it. Karan said:
"Suddenly, the story came about and I wrote it. And I was like, This story is going to be tough to cast because this girl pretty much has an open orgasm in this. I had offered it to Kriti Sanon and she said that her mom didn’t allow her. It’s actually a very empowering story. It’s about a woman's right to pleasure. "
Earlier, Kriti Sanon had appeared on the Firstpost's show, Familly Matters, along with her mother, Geeta Sanon. During the conversation, the doting mother revealed that she had never believed in her daughter's dream. Elaborating the same, she said, "I never believed in her because she was a shy child. I used to tell her ki tum mein itna confidence nahin hain but it was she who believed in herself." Soon, her daughter, Kriti validated her mother's point and added:
"I had stage fright, I was very nervous to do anything. During my exams, I used to stop eating the night before. I was someone who used to take a lot of stress."

Further, in the same conversation, Kriti had also shared that her father was the one who was scared when she used to talk about her acting dream. Explaining the same, the actress had mentioned:
"When I wanted to act, my father was very scared of a lot of things and that was probably one of the reasons why he did not want to sign that contract. He was protective. After that, he is equally or maybe more excited to see me on screen but she (my mother) was like, 'There's a lot that I wanted to learn, to do, a lot that I dreamt of but never got a chance to fulfil it. So if you dream of something you should go for it.' That is maybe the advice that has changed my life."
What do you think about Kriti's mother's opinion of not letting her do the film, Lust Stories?
