Ace producer-director, Karan Johar had embraced fatherhood back in 2017 when he had welcomed his twins, Yash and Roohi, via surrogacy. The sassy kids of the sassy father rule social media with their adorable shenanigans. After the birth of Yash and Roohi, Karan and his mom, Hiroo Johar's lives revolve around them, and it is pretty evident on the doting father's social media handles.

Karan Johar featured in Star vs Food, which is Discovery plus' celebrity cooking show. It features five Bollywood stars cooking under the guidance of a master chef. Last week's episode had Kareena Kapoor Khan. In the show, Karan told a hilarious story about when he tried to bake a cake for his kids and failed miserably!
Narrating his funny baking blunder, Karan said, "During the pandemic when the lockdown began, I called a friend who makes great food and told her that I wanted to bake a cake for my babies. My kids were very excited and they were helping me out. The cake had butter, it had sugar, it had chocolates and all the other goodies, and we also made the icing separately. So, I put that in the oven but it didn't rise because the one thing that I didn't read was the baking powder."
On Karan Johar's 48th birthday on May 25, 2020, he had shared a hilarious video of his in-house birthday celebrations. In the video, Karan could be seen asking his little munchkins to blow the birthday candles on the cake. But when he had asked his kids if he can eat the cake, since it was his birthday, they had straight away declined the request. Citing that dadda would become fat. Such cute, adorable dieticians Karan Johar has! He had captioned the video as "Birthday love! #lockdownwiththejohars #toodles!"
On Yash and Roohi's fourth birthday on February 7, 2021, Karan Johar had posted a video of his little ones, in which they had roasted him for his sartorial picks. Yash and Roohi had called Karan’s wardrobe ‘too shiny’ and ‘yuck’. To wish kids, Yash and Roohi on their 4th birthday, Karan had captioned the video as “A birthday toodles is a must! The fashion critics are back to roast me! Happy birthday to the loves of my life! #roohiandyash.”

In a 2018 interview on Myth Of Masculinity at the concluded edition of 'We The Women' by Barkha Dutt, Karan Johar had spoken about how he doesn’t want his kids’ lives to be defined by the stereotypes of being a boy or a girl. Karan had shared that he would never want his twins, Yash Johar and Roohi Johar to live their lives according to the stereotypes of masculinity and femininity. He was quoted as saying, "If my girl wants to wear shorts, she shouldn’t be called a tomboy; she should be called sporty. I would not say things like, a girl must wear pink! No. My son likes pink, let him wear pink."
Some time ago, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Karan had talked about fatherhood and had said, “My life has changed since Roohi and Yash arrived. At 44, this is my biggest blockbuster. I still haven’t realised the enormity of what’s happened. They’re only two months old. And all they do is eat, sleep, burp, wail and poop. Kabhi khushi, kabhie gham! While I stare at them in wonder. But I can’t get over the fact that they are mine."
