Karan Singh Grover and Bipasha Basu are one of the much-loved couples in the Hindi film industry. The couple got married back in 2016, and it was back in 2022 when the couple welcomed their daughter, Devi, into their lives. Well, after the birth of Devi, Karan and Bipasha had to go through a lot, as their then three-month-old baby girl, Devi, had to face open-heart surgery. The little one had two holes in her heart, and she fought like a true hero. Now, in an interview, Karan Singh Grover talked about the hardship.
In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Karan Singh Grover was asked about difficulties that he has experienced in his life. The actor added that he is very happy that nothing bad happened in his life. Karan further mentioned that after Devi's birth, it was extremely hard for him and Bipasha. He remarked that their little daughter faced serious health problems, and the way she suffered it was beyond explanation. Karan Singh Grover shared:

"Something or the other keeps happening. I am very lucky that nothing very bad happened in my life. But there was a time when we faced a very big problem with our daughter. That time was very difficult for us. My daughter had a serious health problem, and what she suffered during that time is hard to describe in words.”

In the same interview, Karan Singh Grover revealed that his daughter is a true fighter, and how she has a huge scar from heart to stomach due to the open heart surgery. He further added that what Devi and Bipasha had gone through cannot be compared, and their little baby is a true fighter. Karan can be quoted as saying:
"My daughter is a true fighter. She has a long scar on her chest that goes till her stomach. Whatever we think and achieve in our lives is nothing compared to her. Whatever she and her mother (Bipasha Basu) have gone through, it cannot be compared. Nothing like this has happened in my life, I am very lucky. My daughter has proved that she is a true fighter.”
In a chat with Neha Dhupia, Bipasha Basu opened up about Devi's health condition. The actress revealed that they got to know about their little one's health issue three days before her birth, and doctors suggested to them that the holes might cover up with time, but she would have to be kept in regular checkups. Well, with time, there was no improvement in the holes in Devi's heart. Thus, the little one had to go through surgery. Talking about it, Bipasha revealed that she just felt her life had stopped when Devi was in the OT for six long hours.

In the same interview, Bipasha called Devi a hero and a fighter and revealed that Karan was in a mess, and sometimes even the actress needed to throw him out of the ICU. Bipasha revealed that she witnessed her daughter with all the monitors and a dressing bandage in the middle of her chest, and she looked like a hero.

In an earlier interview with India Forums, Karan Singh Grover talked about his little daughter, Devi's growing popularity. The actor and his wife tried to hide Devi's face from the paps, but the little one's antics often sent everyone into a collective meltdown. The actor revealed that he even tried to cover Devi's face, but the little one often greets everyone with a flying kiss and says 'love you'.
