Kardashians Praise Tristan Thompson As A Dad, But His Other Child's Aunt Claim Otherwise

Every new season of the reality show, The Kardashians, which is based on the lives of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, reveals previously unheard-of details regarding the family. The latest season, whose only three episodes have aired till now, has given us all the tea regarding the fight between the sisters, Kim and Kourtney, and the life of Khloe Kardashian after her ex-partner, Tristan Thompson, cheated on her.

For the unversed, in late 2021, the duo, Khloe and Tristan ended their relationship once and for all. Their breakup happened after it was revealed to the public that Tristan had fathered a son with another woman named Maralee Nichols. Khloe discovered the truth about the paternity scandal just as she and Tristan's surrogate were expecting their son, Tatum.

Is Tristan Thompson really a good father?

The second episode of The Kardashians sheds light on how most of the family members praised Tristan for being a good father to his children. However, this narrative is totally opposite of the one which is going viral off the screen. On October 6, 2023, Jordan Craig's sister, Kai, posted on social media, criticising her sister's ex-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, for his unacceptable behaviour when it came to parenting her nephew.

Jordan Craig and Tristan Thompson have a 6-year-old son named Prince Oliver. He was born in December 2016, while Tristan was dating Khloe Kardashian, who he started seeing in September 2016 while Craig was still pregnant. Since then, Tristan has had three more children. Theo, with model, Maralee Nichols in December 2021, and True and Tatum with Khloe in April 2018 and July 2022 respectively.

In an Instagram post, Kai, the sister of Jordan Craig, revealed that she had refrained from speaking up over the past seven years to respect her sister's privacy. However, after the second episode of The Kardashians, she felt compelled to speak out and share her thoughts. She penned:

“It's so painful to see how Tristan can find the time to do these nice things for others but can't seem to show up and be a real parent for my nephew Prince. The fact that he can take other children to school and activities in the same city, yet never sees or speaks to his own son, unless it’s for a party or planned photo opportunity, is appalling and inexcusable.”

Tristan Thompson is always present for Khloe and his children

Kai posted her side of the story on Instagram after Kim Kardashian confessed why she still supports the NBA player, Tristan, despite his messed-up actions in the past, including cheating on her younger sister, Khloe. She said:

"It's so crazy because he's such a good friend and he's such a good dad, but he just couldn’t get it together in that area of being a faithful boyfriend. Yeah, of course, his actions and who he was are so f---ed up, I can't deny that, and we've had our talks about it and had our fights about it... but he’s also shown so many decent things and has been a really good person and friend."
