In an interview with a leading daily sometime back, Kareena opened up on defying norms related to marriage, pregnancy and motherhood. The Veere Di Wedding actress was quoted as saying, “I was always clear about what I wanted. People had advised me not to get married because they felt producers film offer nahi karenge. They had told me I shouldn’t work while I was pregnant. But everything is possible — women multitask. You can be a mother and do your job as well. So many people around the world are doing that and we might not know about their stories. But, obviously, because I’m an actress, the spotlight is on me. This show gives an opportunity to everyone to share their real stories. We have common people addressing their issues. And, of course, there are celebrities because we want to hear them. Longevity is in yourself — if you keep going, change is bound to happen.” (Also Read: Taimur Ali Khan Plays Badminton With Uncle Kunal Kemmu, Don't Miss The Tight Hug In The End [VIDEO])
And how difficult is it for her to juggle between everything, she remarked, “I love doing nothing and being at home, just with my son, Taimur. But again, I also know that I can’t always do that. So, the idea is to find that balance. Strangely and honestly, I’ve found the perfect balance between my personal and professional life. For instance, if I’m working back-to-back for four-five days, I take the next two-three days off because I want that downtime.”

She went on to add, “I need to have my family and friends around because my life revolves around them. I need to feel like a human being. Sharing with the fans the other side of Taimur which is calm and composed, Saif had said, "I can only hope he'll take it as it comes and develop a certain humility. Like Taimur, I too am lucky to be born a Pataudi, go to Winchester College, get work in the industry when there were others who were brighter and more talented. It was a privilege whose worth I didn't understand then. Hopefully my son will be more conscious and conscientious.”
Adding further, he had said, “There's something special about him. During the day, he's waddling around the house but in the evening when I dim the lights, light the candles, put on some music, he's happy to sit quietly with Kareena and me, drinking his milk, soaking in the ambience. As a parent I can only nurture him.” (Also Check: Sriti Jha Of 'Kumkum Bhagya' Turns A Year Older, Alleged Boyfriend Kunal Karan Kapoor Posts A Wish)
