Do you remember when the reports were abuzz that Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have requested the paparazzi to not click their son, Taimur Ali Khan anymore? After Taimur started enjoying the attention of the media and responding to them with ‘hi’ and ‘bye’, his parents asked them not to follow him and click him. Didn’t this news dishearten you? Didn’t your social media timeline seem dull without Taimur’s pictures and videos popping on it? (Also Read: Taimur Ali Khan Cried After Being Dragged Out Of A Musical Instruments Shop, Pics Inside)
So, you know the feeling you get on the days sans Taimur Ali Khan! Well, one should get used to it, as chote Nawab will be sent to boarding school by his parents, Kareena and Saif when he is 13. In an interview earlier, Saif had stated, “Maybe I’ll send him to a boarding school when he is 13. I don’t know, growing up as a star kid, going to the schools of Bandra and Juhu. He needs to see the world.”
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror of late, Kareena talked about the obsessiveness with her son, Taimur and that the markets are selling toys inspired from his looks. Bebo had shared, “Taimur can’t run away from his popularity and neither can his parents. When I saw the doll, I wondered what was I supposed to say. But Saif pointed out that it is because people love him so much and such things are a blessing for him. There is so much genuine warmth for our son that it’s bad to stop people from clicking his pictures or making his dolls. But, they should understand that he is a two-year-old child and needs a normal life. Both Saif and I are struggling to give him that and will continue to do so without telling the media to back off, no matter how annoying it gets after a point. It’s tough on him as it’s on Saif and me.”
In another interview with the Film Companion, Kareena talked about the constant pressure and worry they have for Taimur. She was quoted as saying, “Because what am I supposed to go screaming, what am I supposed to do. So it's like dangerous for us, the test is in us. The pressure is on Saif and me more than him. He is still growing up he is still small, he is registering that he's being clicked because they are calling his name. But the pressure is more on the parents because we are worrying constantly. It's up to us to give him a normal upbringing.”
Speaking about Saif's idea of sending Taimur to a British boarding school, Kareena stated, “They are leaving us with no choice. But of course, as a mother, it would kill me to send him away. And I think it'd be unfair and I tell Saif that it'd be like running away from reality because this is the reality.” (Also Read: Saif Ali Khan And Kareena Kapoor Khan React To Taimur Ali Khan Dolls Selling In The Markets)
Expressing her worries that her son can't just go out and about the city and do normal things like other children, Kareena went on to say that come what may, she will not ask Taimur to not have a normal childhood or to not go for his playtime. Bebo added, “I can't do that to him, I can't lock him up. I want him to fly and I want him to be free.”
Stating that he wants his son, Taimur to have a humble life away from the constant media attention, Saif in a throwback interview shared, “He has innocence in his eyes, there is nothing pretentious, but yes I am worried about him. I and Kareena have already discussed the stardom he already has around him and we have decided to send him to a nice boarding school in England. It will hopefully do the trick. It has done for everybody in the family. Kareena is going to be a very good mother. She will not be impressed if he is spoilt.” (Also Read: Unseen Picture Of Taimur Ali Khan With Parents Kareena Kapoor Khan And Saif Ali Khan In One Frame)
