The diva of Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor Khan, is a proud mommy to her two sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan, and is an inspiration to all the mothers out there. She never shies away from flaunting her post-pregnancy body and expressing her views to the world. While people think that an actress' career comes to a halt after her pregnancy, she has defied this notion both the times. In fact, she has bounced back to work within a very short period after both of her sons' birth.
Kareena Kapoor Khan is well-known for being vocal and speaking her heart out when it comes to putting forward her views. In a recent interview, Bebo shared the importance of teaching her sons, Taimur and Jehangir that it is not just their father, Saif Ali Khan, who brings the food on the table, but their mother plays an equal role too. Moreover, she also wants her sons to learn that their mother also deserves to be respected equally as their father.

In an interview with Film Companion, Kareena Kapoor Khan opened up on how she made her son, Taimur Ali Khan accustomed to the fact that his mother is equal to his father. She said, “Well in the case of Tim and Jeh, I think the idea is that they see me go to work even now. Like when, every time I put on my shoes, Taimur asks ‘where are you going?’ My answer is ‘I’m going to work or I’m going to shoot or I’m going for an event or I’m going for a meeting because amma has to work’. So, abba works and so does amma. I think growing up looking at the fact that in this house, it’s not just the man who does things, we both do things equally.''
Going further in the interview, Kareena Kapoor Khan shared how she and her husband, Saif Ali Khan share their responsibilities. In her words, ''We’re both bringing food to the table, we’re both very clear on the fact that we’re both working as a couple. We’re dependent on each other emotionally, and financially we share. And if my boys grow up knowing that their mother has the capability and demands that kind of respect in her home and gets it. Goes out to work, works hard, comes home so that they can have a good life. I think that’s half the battle won. It’s important for the boys to know that women are equal to men. A mother is their father’s equal.''

Well, this is not the first time that Kareena has awestruck us with her ethics and the way she is raising Taimur and Jehangir. Few days back, in an interview with the film magazine, Filmfare, she had shared that she would teach her sons to never differentiate the people of the LGBTQ community. She had said, ''Even calling them (those from the LGBTQ community) 'different' is something I don't like. We are one. That's the whole idea. Why are people even saying that 'this is different'? No! We're all the same na with our hearts, lungs, and liver so why are we seeing them in any other way? That's the way I think and that's the way I'll always bring up my boys to think also.''
In the same interview, Kareena had addressed the LGBTQ people and had talked about being open-minded as she and her husband, Saif Ali Khan have friends from the community. She had explained, ''I love you guys! I love the fact that you always shower me with so much love. I'm all for transparency and both Saif and I are people who live life transparently and have friends all over the world from the LGBTQ community. We are open-hearted and open-minded and that's the way I look forward to bringing up my children.''
