Over the years, we have seen Kareena Kapoor Khan breaking the ‘glass ceilings’ with her approach towards her work and professional commitments. Nothing, and we literally mean nothing can stop the 40-year-old star from fulfilling her dreams, and because she seldom plays by the rules, Kareena is certainly the poster girl for breaking stereotypes. In 2016, when Kareena was pregnant with her first child, she had worked throughout her pregnancy and had proved that pregnancy or motherhood isn’t the end of a woman’s career. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan had announced their second pregnancy in August 2020 and more than a month later, the couple had jetted off to Delhi with their son, Taimur Ali Khan. A few days sequence was left to shoot of Kareena in her upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha starring Aamir Khan. Sometime back, pictures of Kareena from the sets of Laal Singh Chaddha had emerged on social media, and what had grabbed the attention was her killer expression. Dressed in printed red outfit with loose, short sleeves, matching hairband, Kareena’s pouty smile and pregnancy glow had made our hearts swoon!
Now that Kareena Kapoor Khan has wrapped up her final schedule for Laal Singh Chaddha, she posted a BTS picture with her co-star, Aamir Khan. Describing her experience of shooting the film in ‘tough times’ and how nothing can stop her passion to shoot, Kareena captioned the picture as “And all journeys must come to an end. Today, I wrapped my film Laal Singh Chaddha... tough times... the pandemic, my pregnancy, nervousness but absolutely nothing could stop the passion with which we shot, with all safety measures ofcourse. Thank you @_aamirkhan and @advaitchandan for an intense yet poignant journey... thank you to my most wonderful team @avancontractor, @teasemakeup, @makeupbypompy, @poonamdamania and the entire crew... @nainas89 you were missed. Till we cross paths again...” Kareena’s makeup designer, Tarannum Khan posted a picture with Bebo and revealed that the actress had treated everyone on the sets with delicious meals. Tarannum wrote, “#Makeupvanshenanigans with favourites. @kareenakapoorkhan we will miss you BRO #foodprovider #gorgeousgirl #guts #laalsinghchaddha #makeupdesigner.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan has been giving her fans sneak-peeks into her pregnancy journey and October 3, 2020, was no different. Kareena had posted a selfie from the Pataudi Palace, wearing a black-and-white checked kaftan and had captioned it as “5 months and going strong PS : The #KaftanSeries continues.” Pictures of Kareena with her son, Taimur Ali Khan’s Spanish teacher were posted on the official handle of Learning Lingos. Kareena had posed in the same kaftan and looked gorgeous as ever, flaunting her baby bump. During an interaction with Rajeev Masand, Kareena Kapoor Khan had revealed that for Laal Singh Chaddha, she had auditioned for the first-time ever in her career. Speaking about why she had agreed to audition for the film and how everything happened ‘very organically’, Kareena had said, “Because knowing the way that he is, I think he wanted to be like 100% sure. So very randomly, out of the blue, I got a call from Aamir. ‘I want you to hear this film, this and that and I am very excited about it.’ So, it just happened very organically. I heard the script like just then the minute he called me and he was just like let’s read some scenes. I want you to read some scenes. So, I was like yeah, I have never done something like this. I thought like what the hell. I want to see myself if I want to do this or not and you know there is nothing wrong in that.”
Before heading off to Delhi for the shoot of Laal Singh Chaddha, Kareena Kapoor Khan had celebrated her 40th birthday. A day before she turned 40, Kareena had written a beautiful note to herself and had posted it with her solo black-and-white picture on Instagram. Bebo had written, "As I enter my 40th year... I want to sit back, reflect, love, laugh, forgive, forget and most importantly pray and thank the strongest force up there for giving me the strength and thank my experiences and decisions for making me the woman I am...
