The man of the moment, Kartik Aaryan had shot to fame in 2011 with Pyaar Ka Punchnama and ever since then, he makes every girl sing, Dil Chori Sadda Hogaya Oye Ki Kariye Ki Kariye every time we see him. In no time, from Pyaar Ka Punchnama to Love Aaj Kal, Kartik ranted his way into our hearts! Kartik is a doting son, a proud brother and a talented actor. Kartik’s journey in Bollywood has been a remarkable one, which would have definitely made his parents proud of him.
On January 15, 2020, Kartik Aaryan’s mother turned a year older and to mark the same, the doting son had posted a short and crisp wish for his ‘favourite stylist’, which spoke millions of emotions. He had written, "Happy Birthday to my Fav Hairstylist. Love you mummy." To make his mom’s birthday even more special, Kartik gifted her the latest edition of a swanky car and took her on a ride a day later. As per a Pinkvilla report, Kartik’s mom had mentioned her wish to him earlier, when he wasn’t famous. Now that he has achieved a lot professionally and can afford the car, he surprised his mom with its latest edition. This indeed is the best gift ever, isn’t it?
Kartik Aaryan came into this industry with no contacts, and he is an exemplar of that desi kid who follows his/her dreams and passion amidst the high expectations and hopes of his/her family and society. Speaking of his struggles as a middle-class boy from Gwalior, who dreamt of becoming big in Bollywood, Kartik had shared to the Humans of Bombay, “I was born in the small town of Gwalior. My parents were in d medical field & I was going to do engineering. But in 9th grade, I saw Baazigar & I knew I wanted to be on the other side of the screen. I was unsure of my parents’ reaction—so I decided to study till 12th in Gwalior & den go to college in Mumbai.”
Revealing who was the first person he had called when he had bagged the role in Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Kartik Aaryan remarked, “Once I saw an ad for a film audition & decided to go for it. They liked me & auditioned me many times. My final audition script was the monologue that then became my identity! Finally, when I got the role, I was at Andheri station & immediately called my mom! She couldn’t believe it! After 2 & a half years of struggle, what I had imagined as a possibility, was now a reality. After Pyaar Ka Punchnama, there still weren’t many opportunities. I stayed in the same flat with 12 boys till my third film!” (Also Read: Janhvi Kapoor Shares That She Is Like Her Late Mother, Sridevi When It Comes To Hard Work)

In a Mother’s Day special interview with the DNA, Kartik Aaryan’s mother had revealed how does it feel to see her son’s success. She had remarked, “Nothing like that. But yes, it’s an extremely proud and happy feeling. However, there is also a fear because the career he has chosen is so full of insecurities. He has to prove himself each Friday. Here, even if you go really high up, you can go down as quickly as that. So, I just tell him to be prepared.”
Revealing the gift that he has given her which she will cherish forever, Kartik Aaryan’s mom had continued, “He had given me his first cheque of Rs 2,500, which he had got for doing an ad. Later, when he was signed for a film, he gave me that cheque for Rs 11,000 as well. Then some years ago, he had come to Gwalior and he got gifts for the entire family. He had gifted me a ring at that time. I cherish that a lot and I liked the fact that he thought of bringing something for each one of us. You can expect that from the girls, lekin bete itna nahin karte. So, that’s precious.”
When asked, “As a mother, what has been your proudest moment?” Kartik Aaryan’s mother had retorted, “There are so many. But the one I remember the most is when he had come to Gwalior for a shoot. There were so many people who had come to see him. The entire city had posters welcoming him and calling him ‘Son of Gwalior’. He was barely able to step out of his trailer because there were so many people outside calling out his name. He was even invited to his school, St Paul’s, as the chief guest. When he arrived, the school band started playing and there were flowers on the path all the way to the stage. Earlier, we used to be called to the parent-teacher meetings to be scolded for some mischief he had done. This time, the principal called me to invite him to the school as a chief guest. I told him that I’m really happy! (Smiles). That was such a proud feeling.” (Also Read: Kabir Bedi Finally Reacts To His Granddaughter, Alaya Furniturewalla's Debut In 'Jawaani Jaaneman')
