Associated with the TV industry from many years and seen in famous shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahin To Hoga, Kasauti Zindagi Kay, Simar Sasural Ka and recently, also seen in Yeh Vaada Raha, TV actor, Vikas Sethi is all set to be the next groom-to-be again. And guess when he is getting married and to whom? Yes, Sasural Simar Ka fame, Vikas is getting married next month in February 2018, to his friend named Jhanvi Rana.
As per the reports by the leading daily, the couple met through their common friend in April 2017. A restaurateur by profession, Jhanvi and Vikas friendship grew strong. When asked Vikas about his decision to marry his friend, he remarked, “I met Jhanvi through a common friend last April. We hit it off instantly and started spending a lot of time together. We both love outdoor activities and have a lot in common. Friendship, I believe, is the foundation of a good marriage. Who better than your best friend to be your partner? I asked her to marry me and she accepted my proposal. She is a very positive person and has brought about stability in my life." Recently, the couple got engaged in a close-knit ceremony in the presence of family and friends on January 21, 2018.
As per the reports by Bombay Times, Vikas and Jhanvi are planning to tie the nuptial knot on February 21, 2018, in a small Gurudwara ceremony after which they plan to fly to the auspicious Golden Temple in Amritsar to take blessings before beginning their new phase of life. In one of the interviews, Vikas was quoted as saying, "We plan to have a small ceremony in a Gurudwara after which we will fly to Amritsar to visit the Golden Temple.”
For the uninitiated ones, Vikas was earlier married to an air-hostess Amita and the couple was even seen sharing the screen on Nach Baliye 3 and were liked by all being the powerhouse contestants in the show. Things were fine between the two and hence, the couple divorced a few years ago. During one of the interviews earlier when things didn’t reach the stage of divorce, there was a time when Vikas was really missing his wife Amita and he was quoted as saying, “Last year I and Amita had participated in Nach Baliye and though we were there only for a short period in the competition we enjoyed it a lot. I'm really missing my wife. She is in London doing her work and I guess she might come to see the rest of my performances. I am practising hard.”
