Did Katrina's breakup with Ranbir, in any way, influenced her character of Babita in Zero? Answering the question which her fans have been wanting to know, Katrina Kaif said in an interview with Film Companion, "I knew that people are gonna try and connect the dots but I also knew that when they see the film they can't do that because the pitch of that character is so different. The pitch of that character is not me...That's not me. That's not my behaviour. To me the way she's (Babita) talking (in the film), to me it is outlandish as a person that I am."
Katrina's song Heer Badnaam, in the film, has influences from her breakup with Ranbir as per a TOI report earlier. The report also suggested that just like her character, in real life as well, Katrina had turned alcoholic, and it turned out to be the roughest phase in her life.

According to an entertainment portal, Ranbir is not going to watch the film! The report has suggested, "Ranbir got to know of Katrina's sequences in the film and was left highly amused. Now, I've left it to the universe and to God because I'm sure there's a bigger hand that shapes our destiny.
