The Kapoor family hosted a grand three-day celebration on the occasion of Raj Kapoor's 100th birth anniversary. The entire film industry, along with the Kapoor clan, arrived together to celebrate the legacy of Raj Kapoor and the charm he had on the silver screen. While celebrities arrived in style, Vicky Kaushal also marked his presence, but his wife, Katrina Kaif, was nowhere to be seen.
It seems like Katrina Kaif has been consciously choosing to maintain a dignified distance from her ex-boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor. For the Raj Kapoor's 100th birth anniversary celebration, Vicky Kaushal arrived in style. He was dressed up in a double-breasted coat with a black t-shirt underneath. However, Katrina was nowhere to be seen.
Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were once madly in love. The ex-couple often went on secret vacations and spent the best days of their life, until they parted ways. The 'breakup' kind of changed Katrina, and she became a lot more mature. In fact, Katrina took a lot of time to accept that moving on wasn't easy for her. Her relationship made her slip into depression, and she tried her best to get back. However, when Ranbir and Katrina were dating, reports were rife that the Kapoor family were unhappy with their son's love interest.
There were several instances when the Kapoor family showed their displeasure as Katrina was Ranbir's love interest then. Once, Katrina was left super hurt when she got to know that Neetu Kapoor cropped her from the Kapoor family picture. In the video, when the interviewer asked Katrina whether her ex-bf Ranbir Kapoor's mother, Neetu Kapoor, didn't like her, the actress gave a perfect reply. Katrina revealed that she likes to keep her personal life away from media glares. She said:
“I’m stumped. The reason and the person responsible for these rumours that you are saying quite honestly would be me. I’ll take the full blame for that, and you may ask why. The reason is since the last eight or nine years, I have chosen not to comment on my personal life whoever it may be or whatever it is about- the people or the man in my life. Because I feel it’s the easier way for me to be. There’s no hard and fast reason why. I’m a sensitive person. I have a hard enough time accepting the truths and realities that hit us all in matters of love. Because I have kept everything so closely guarded as much as possible, you are leaving that much more room for everyone to make speculations like this."
Well, Katrina Kaif is happily married to Vicky Kaushal. On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor is married to Alia Bhatt, and they are also parents to an adorable two-year-old baby girl, Raha Kapoor.
