Former TV actress, Kavita Kaushik made her mark when she portrayed the iconic character of inspector, 'Chandramukhi Chautala' in FIR . She featured in several other TV serials and reality shows following her breakthrough before deciding to quit the industry altogether in 2024. Kavita was also a wild card contestant during the fourteenth season of the popular reality TV show, Bigg Boss . Recently, she made headlines again for allegedly praising Vivek Oberoi while dissing Bigg Boss host, Salman Khan.
The drama allegedly started when Kavita Kaushik lauded Vivek Oberoi on his reported net worth of Rs. 1200 crores
Well, it seems Kavita Kaushik couldn't hold back from retweeting the post with a note that praised Vivek. Not only that, she also seemingly dissed Bollywood's Bhaijaan , Salman without directly naming him. Users on a subreddit dug up the tweet in question, in which Kavita wrote:
"A superb actor, stoop up for his woman, fought against the biggest speaking truth.... but we as a country are charmed with Swag, dadagiri and roasting."
However, that wasn't the only tweet of Kavita Kaushik that surfaced. Redditors also found some tweets from 2015 where she was seen praising the Bigg Boss host, Salman Khan. It is assumed that her opinion of Salman soured after her stint on Bigg Boss 14 , which aired in 2020, due to the severe backlash she received. Kavita had once stated that the host had never been interested in listening to her side of what happened on the show.
For the unversed, Kavita had several fights with co-contestants on the show after entering the house as a wild card contestant. She made headlines more than once for her explosive arguments with Eijaz Khan, but it was after a heated argument with Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla that she chose to leave voluntarily. "I had a horrible experience. I still feel sick sometimes thinking about it. I puke and stuff, so yeah."
Earlier this year, Kavita Kaushik announced her decision to leave the TV industry for good due to its 'regressive' content. The actress told Times Now that while her interest in the TV industry had diminished, her passion for acting didn't, so she was open to roles in films and web shows. Kavita said:
"There was a time when TV was progressive and we had different kinds of shows. But now, the kind of content we're showing is really bad for the young generations to watch. I have been a part of it as well and I am Very sorry. I don't approve of what they show on television.
