South actress, Keerthy Suresh stepped into a new phase of life in December 2024 when she tied the knot with her long-time beau, Antony Thattil. While the actress kept her relationship under wraps until the day she announced her engagement, her and Antony's bond goes back 15 long years. Needless to say, Keerthy and Antony's wedding was just as hush-hush as their love story had been. However, the actress finally opened up about the timeline of their sating life in a recent interview.
Keerthy Suresh recently sat for a candid chat with Galatta India, during which she opened up about the timeline of how her love story with Antony Thattil unfolded. Surprisingly, Keerthy revealed that she was the one to first hit on Antony. Not only that, they even met on the social media platform, Orkut, which has since been taken down. Keerthy narrated:
"We go back to Orkut days, I took the initiative to hit on this guy. We were chatting for a good one month before we met at a restaurant. I was with my family, and I couldn't meet him, so I winked at him and left. Later, I said, if you have the guts, propose to me, dude. He first proposed to me in 2010, and things got serious in 2016. He gave me a promise ring I never removed till we got married, you can even see it in all my films."
Keerthy further revealed that this New Year would mark 15 years since Antony first asked her to be his girlfriend. After a relationship that stood the test of time for years, Keerthy and Antony started a brand new adventure as a married couple in December 2024.
Keerthy Suresh also talked about her wedding, referring to it as a dream that she and her now-hubby, Antony Thattil had shared for a long time. The actress revealed that she got teary-eyed during the momentous occasion because they had had 'nightmares of eloping.' In Keerthy's words:
"Literally, it's a dream because we've had nightmares of eloping. My heart was full, it was an emotional moment for us. We've always wanted this. We started dating when I was in 12th and he was seven years older than me, working in Qatar. Our relationship was long distance for six years. We only started living together during the pandemic. He has been very supportive of my career. If there's anyone out there thinking this man is lucky to have me, trust me, I'm lucky to have him."
After 15 long years, Keerthy Suresh and Antony Thattil's 15-year-long dream finally came true in December 2024 when they tied the knot in a two-day wedding. The couple got married as per Hindu and Christian customs. For her white wedding, the actress slipped into a gorgeous lace white gown with a cinched waist that accentuated her figure. The gown also featured a keyhole cut-out and a turtle neck style lace design on the neckline. Keerthy also dropped breathtaking glimpses of the nuptials as per Hindu customs, for which she donned a stunning yellow-toned saree with green borders accentuated by a sleek magenta-toned paar. The photos exude love, joy, and laughter.
