Popular actress, Keerthy Suresh married her childhood sweetheart, Antony Thattil in a dreamy December wedding in 2024. The couple, known for keeping their relationship private, has been receiving an outpouring of love and attention from fans since their wedding. After an eventful couple of months filled with wedding festivities and the promotions and premiere of her Bollywood debut alongside Varun Dhawan, Baby John, Keerthy recently sat down to share heartfelt insights into her new life as a married woman.
In a candid chat with Hindustan Times, Keerthy shared insights into her new life with her husband and also addressed how Antony is dealing with the changes. The Baby John actress revealed that life after marriage hasn’t drastically changed but feels different in subtle but beautiful ways. Keerthy shared:
“Honestly, nothing’s changed much. It’s pretty much the same for us. It’s just that there’s been a lot of attention and buzz that’s been happening. I’m used to the attention, but Antony is not used to so much attention, so that’s what is very different for him. But it’s still a lot more attention than any normal day even for me."
As a celebrity, Keerthy is used to the media attention, so that is not a concern for her. The actress shared how the mingling of two families has added a new layer of excitement and joy in their lives. Talking about the newly married experience, Keerthy told HT:
“The fact that families are married together in the process of marriage, is what is actually making this really different. There’s not much changed between just the both of us as we have been together for a very long time, but this part where you’re celebrating each other with your families and our families are talking to each other, these are the beautiful memories that we’re creating after marriage.”
On January 14, 2025, Keerthy shared a carousel of photos from her Thala Pongal celebrations with her hubby, Antony, and their two adorable furbabies, who were also dressed for the occasion. In the photos, the actress looked stunning in a lime green-hued saree with white stripes and floral appliques, beautifully contrasted by a pink blouse. Antony Thattil complemented her perfectly in a yellow printed kurta paired with a traditional white dhoti with a golden border, making them a picture-perfect couple for the occasion. Talking about her first Pongal celebration, Keerthy shared:
“This was the first Pongal after marriage, and it’s even more special. When it is the first festival after your marriage, it is named with a prefix called Thala. So you say Thala Pongal, Thala Deepavali, and so this was Thala Pongal for me and we both can’t be happier. My first Christmas after marriage last month was with his family and now for Pongal, we went to my home in Trivandrum, and it’s very special. So, this time it was proper family time."
Well, seems like Keerthy Suresh stepped into 2025 with a bundle of laughter, love and celebrations with her two families.
