Losing a loved one can be devastating. Though many companies provide bereavement leave, it is only for three to five days. Grief is the strongest emotion a human experience, and there is no standard time to cope with it. While some of us know how to deal with the loss, many of us struggle to bounce back at work because of the feeling of gut-wrenching loss. However, the Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actress, Ketki Dave left her friends and family in utter shock when she returned to work just two days after losing her husband, Rasik Dave, due to a prolonged disease.
The late actor, Rasik is known for appearing in Hindi films and shows like Aisi Deewangi Dekhi Nahi Kahin, Savdhaan India: India Fights Back and many more. The 65-year-old actor was on dialysis for the last two years before he lost his life to kidney failure on July 29, 2022. For the unversed, Ketki and her late husband, Rasik were married for 40 years. Together, they are blessed with two beautiful children, Riddhi Dave, who is also an actress and a son, Abhishek Dave.

In a recent interview with ETimes, Ketki Dave revealed that she had joined the stage on July 30, 2022, i.e. just two days after the demise of her hubby, Rasik Dave. Reflecting on the reason behind her shocking decision, Ketki said she doesn’t want people to be a part of her grief but happiness. In her words:
"I don't want people to be a part of my grief. People should be included in one's happiness."
Further, in the interview, Ketki shared that whenever she performs, she gets into that character's skin. Hence, Ketki’s personal life has no relevance to her on-screen characters. She stated:
“I get into the character instantly, and Ketki Dave's personal life does not come into the character. Yesterday, the play was in Surat. I went there too.”

Ketki and Rasik had stolen hearts in 2006 with their unmatched chemistry in the dance show, Nach Baliye. In the same conversation, the actress added how she used to report at work even during her illness and likes to keep her personal and professional life separated. She said:
"I have reported for work even when I was unwell. A project does not involve only me. It involves the entire team. The shows are booked in advance and I don't want anyone to suffer because of me."
Well, Rasik Dave’s fond memories will always be treasured in Ketki's heart!
