Suniel Shetty's daughter, Athiya Shetty and Indian cricketer, KL Rahul got married on January 23, 2023, at the actor's Lokhandwala bungalow in Mumbai. Their official wedding pictures were straight out of a fairytale and were immensely loved by their fans. Since then, the two of them have been enjoying their marital bliss and never miss a chance to paint the town red with their mushy moments. Recently, the duo made a swanky purchase and as per reports paid a hefty amount to close the deal.
As per a report in Hindustan Times, Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul became the proud owner of a luxurious apartment in the posh Pali Hill area of Bandra, Mumbai. Well, it makes the couple one of the close neighbours of some of the renowned stars in the industry, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan with his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and his ladylove, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, and Triptii Dimri, among others, who also own homes in Bandra. The property registration documents were reviewed by IndexTap.com, which stated that Athiya and KL Rahul had paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.20 crore.

Athiya and KL Rahul registered the property on July 15, 2024. The posh property in Pali Hill, Bandra, Mumbai, is almost about 3,350 sq ft. The property is situated on the second floor of the Sandhu Palace building, which has a total of 18 floors. Moreover, the building has a partial occupation certificate from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). In addition, the apartment includes parking space for up to four cars. According to the documents, apart from the stamp duty of Rs 1.20 crore, they also paid a registration fee of Rs 30,000 for the property.
Ever since the wedding of Athiya with the man of her dreams, KL Rahul, their fans are impatient waiting for the couple to share their 'good news'. The fans got a sense of relied when Suniel Shetty had a fun banter with comedienne, Bharti Singh on the show, Dance Deewane. In one of the show's episodes, dedicated to grandparents, Bharti asked Suniel how he should behave once he becomes a nana or grandfather since no kid can handle such a cool and casual persona. To this, Suniel made a witty statement, which resulted in people thinking that his daughter, Athiya was probably pregnant with her first child. Suniel said:
“Yes next season when I come I will be walking on the stage like a Nana.”

Following this, rumours became rife about Athiya's pregnancy. However, a source close to the couple, opened up about the same in an interview with Hindustan Times, and dismissed all such rumours. The insider mentioned that Suniel made the remark to be part of the fun banter in the show and was shocked to see how people misinterpreted his statement. Adding how Athiya and KL Rahul are currently enjoying their marital bliss, the insider further revealed:
“There is no truth in the buzz. Suniel’s nana remark was said in a jest and in a very informal way. His remarks have been misinterpreted by all. It was a fun conversation, Suniel said it as a joke. Now, even he is surprised how his comment has been perceived by everyone. They both are happily married, and enjoying this phase of life. They want to expand their family at some point of life, but they are enjoying this phase of life. At the moment, there is no truth to the pregnancy speculation. They will announce the news and share their happiness with everyone, as and when it happens.”
