Kriti Sanon and Alia Bhatt recently hit the headlines as they were honoured with the Best Actress National Award for their respective movies, Mimi and Gangubai Kathiawadi. As both the actresses graced the ceremony in Delhi, they twinned in ivory-hued sarees and looked as elegant as ever. Meanwhile, an old interview of Kriti surfaced online, wherein she talked about being jealous of Alia Bhatt, who was the top actress back then. However, now Kriti has cleared the air about the same.
In a recent interview with Zoom Entertainment, the show's host revisited the old video of Kriti Sanon from Koffee With Karan season 7 and asked the actress to share her views on the matter. Responding to it, the Heropanti actress said that if a person is given good opportunities and has the talent to give their best, they are going to make it. She added:
“Honestly, both of us winning the National Award together was sort of an answer to everything. If you’re given good opportunities, no matter where you come from, if you have the talent, you’re going to make it. So, it’s all about getting the opportunities and great opportunities like Mimi and Gangubai don’t come every day. So, I hope people write more stuff like that.”

Kriti Sanon appeared on Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan 7, with her Heropanti co-star, Tiger Shroff and looked stunning in a pink outfit. During the conversation, the show’s host asked Kriti whether she’s jealous of Alia Bhatt, who is ‘country’s best actress’. Karan said:
"What about envy or competition or jealousy sometimes with your contemporaries, like you know, is there that sense of, ‘I need to do it and look beyond my shoulder’ and do better than her (Alia)? And do better than everybody and perform as an actor? Like there’s so much chatter about Alia being the best actor in the country. Is that an acceptance at your level or is it also driving you to kind of get there yourself?"

However, Karan Johar interrupted her in between and mentioned the name of Alia Bhatt’s film, Gangubai Kathiawadi, as Kriti said, ‘When I see good work’. Continuing her answer, Kriti added:
