Kamal Rashid Khan, aka KRK, is a self-acclaimed film critic and superstar who has taken it upon himself to expose celebrities. While sometimes his revelations are not always very trustworthy, sometimes he nails it with his research. And it seems like this time around, it's the latter.
Alia Bhatt and Vendang Raina starrer, Jigra was released on October 9, 2024, at theatres near us and the film's craze was to the next level on social media. The film majorly got excellent reviews from critics, barring a few, and as per Alia Bhatt and her team's report, Jigra is doing extremely well at the box office. However, it seems like it's not entirely the truth, and KRK even alleged Alia Bhatt for cheating her uncle, Mukesh Bhatt.
It is common for Indian filmmakers to get inspired by international movies and copy them. As per KKR, the Bhatt brothers, Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, wanted the rights to the Hollywood film, Next Three Days, when they used to work together. After their split, Mukesh bought the rights for Rs. 4 crore and used the storyline in his film, Savi, starring Divya Khossla Kumar and Harshvardhan Rane in lead roles.
KRK even alleged that Alia Bhatt had not thought about her uncle and his Rs. 4 crore investment as she handed over the project to Karan Johar and tweaked the story a little bit by altering the husband and wife's storyline into a sister and brother's one. KRK further added:
"Why film #JIGRA is a copy of film #Savi? Because producer Mukesh Bhatt bought the rights of film #NextThreeDays for Rs. 4cr. That time Bhatt brothers were together and #AliaBhatt knew about it. After separation of Bhatt brothers #Alia gave that screenplay to #KaranJohar without bothering that her uncle would lose Rs. 4cr. Mukesh Bhatt was shooting the film Savi with actress #DivyaKhosla when Alia announced the same film based jail break story by just changing husband- wife concept to Brother-Sister. Alia Bhatt says, she is the top actress and having Crores of Rupees. But she still cheats her 72yr old Uncle Mukesh Bhatt. Jab Ye Apno Ke Nahi Hai, Toh Gairon Ke Kya Honge!"
After KRK, even Divya Khossla Kumar slammed Alia Bhatt, but for a completely different reason. Divya shared a picture of an empty theatre hall and wrote that just like this hall, all the other theatres all over India are empty, but Alia Bhatt and her team are fooling people by faking their box office collection numbers. In Divya's words:

“Went to Citi Mall PVR for Jigra show. Theatre was totally empty … all theaters going empty every where. #Aliabhatt me sach mein Bahut #Jigra hai.. khud hi tickets karide aur fake collections announce kar diye. Wonder why paid media is silent. #weshdnotfooltheaudience #truthoverlies #HappyDussehra."
