Some wars go on for a long time and might never end. They say that the toughest battle is the one that we have to fight against our family because it demands standing against the ones we love. The cold war between Bollywood actor, Govinda and his nephew, Krushna Abhishek has been going on for a long time, courtesy to a small misunderstanding. The rift between the families had become pretty evident when Govinda and his wife, Sunita had missed Krushna and Kashmera's twins, Krishaang and Raayan's first birthday bash. Owing to the family feud between him and his mama, Govinda, Krushna Abhishek had refused to perform in the latest episode of The Kapil Sharma Show. Now, he has spoken about the same with a lot of affection for Govinda. Scroll down to know what Krushna has to say about the same!
In an interaction with SpotboyE, Krushna talked about his decision of not performing in front of his mama, Govinda on The Kapil Sharma Show. He said, "Yes, I refused to do the episode featuring my Maama Govida, as there are some differences between us, and I didn't want any of our issues to affect the show. For comedy to be effective you need to work in a warm friendly atmosphere. Laughter can only be generated in the midst of good relations. I love Govinda Maama a lot. And I know he loves me as much. Which is why he has the right to be upset with me. And I love him too much to face him now when things are the way they are between us. I wouldn't able to stop my tears. So it's best not to do the episode. I've been very close to him. I've stayed at his home with him and his family. Jitna hi pyar hai, utni hi duree ho gayee hai (despite our mutual affection we are now distanced from one another)."
In an interview with the Bombay Times, Krushna had expressed how the enmity between him and his mama, Govinda had affected him. The comedian-actor had said, "I had a strong relationship with mama, and the enmity has affected me badly. When the relationship between two people is strained, it's difficult to perform comedy. Besides, mama might take offence to my jokes. Achhi comedy ke liye set ka mahaul achha hona chahiye (good comedy needs conducive environment)." Krushna had further expressed his desire to pay a tribute to his mama, Govinda on the show and had said, "I can vouch that it would have been like a house on fire even if I had performed as Krushna and not Sapna (the character he portrays on the show) with mama. I could have paid tribute to him on the show." Krushna had also revealed that he had attempted to get in touch with Govinda during the lockdown, but had received no response, even when his son was 'fighting for his life' in the hospital. He had said that their fight is a 'silly misunderstanding' and that only Kapil Sharma can resolve the situation now.
