Kusha Kapila Breaks Silence On Ugly Roast By Samay Raina: 'Roast Hone Se Problem Nahi Hai..'

Kusha Kapila, a renowned name in the world of comedy and influencing, was left brutally hurt. The influencer-turned-actress announced her separation from her eleven-year-old lover, Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia in 2023. However, after almost a year, when she was finally able to get over that phase, she got roasted on a show by Samay Raina, who not only made fun of her divorce, but it became the most viral video on the internet. 

Kusha Kapila first time talked about the nasty roast of Samay Raina on her being a divorcee 

Kusha, who took a month's time to speak her heart out on Samay Raina's nasty jokes, talked about her feelings in an interview with Fever FM. The actress shared that whatever she had in her mind, she expressed it in her note, as there were many questions that came her way. She stated that earlier, she clarified in her statement that she didn't get any money for being roasted. Kusha also claimed that she had no idea what jokes would come her way. She said:

"Mujhe unko batana tha ki kyo hua yeh roast, aisa kya tha. Toh yeh meri taraf se ek simple clarification tha, ki paise mile the toh aise baithe the, nahi pata tha ki kya jokes aane wale hai."

Kusha Kapila stated that she is not against the roast format

Kusha further added that she is not against the roast form. She enjoyed the jokes other people on The Pretty Good Roast Show cracked. She stated that she has respect for every person on the show. Kusha also claimed that she had no idea about the jokes but everyone knew about her punchlines. She was quoted as saying:

"I have respect for all artist, toh roast format se problem nahi hai, is cheej se problem hai ki I wish I was in on those jokes. Bas yahi baat hai."

Kusha Kapila talked about her delayed response to the roast

In the same interview, Kusha discussed her delayed response to the roast. She stated that she was frozen after the hurtful roast. However, many people told her that it wasn't the right way to perform the roast, and there wasn't a proper procedure, which was followed. She said:

"Comedy se, roast hone se problem nahi hai, itne saalo se baithe hue hai."

The roast episode, which featured Kusha has almost 13.2 million views. While some people might have watched it why it happened, some enjoyed it. But it definitely comes as a problem in our society if people enjoyed a roast that went so personal that her ex-husband, Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia was dragged in it, along with their furbaby, Maya. Despite this, there has been no official apology or sense of guilt by the people who performed the roast.
