Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol have been garnering all the spotlight, ever since the duo graced the controversial chat show, Koffee With Karan. For the unversed, right after the promo video of the sibling duo was released on social media, one could spot the two of them making some candid and rather juicy conversations with the filmmaker, Karan Johar. Moreover, among all other topics of interest, they made some major revelations on the much-discussed issue of nepotism in Bollywood.
During his conversation with Karan Johar over the matter of nepotism, Sunny Deol highlighted how he finds the very word itself quite stupid to the core. He mentioned how thinking about the future of one’s own child is nothing bad, and added that people these days mostly use it as a scapegoat for their anger of non-achievement. In his words:

“Now I've come to the conclusion that it's just stupid. You became successful because of your talent. Who wouldn’t think about their child’s future? It just doesn’t make any sense.”

Speaking on the same topic, it was Bobby Deol who then mentioned that their parents didn’t belong to the industry initially, and added how they ended up carving a name despite being outsiders. Moreover, he highlighted feeling blessed to be born to such talented parents, and added that it was something which they didn’t choose themselves, but were blessed with it. Taking a dig at his career and emphasizing how being a star kid does not automatically guarantee success, Bobby mentioned:
“We didn't choose to be born to them. We were blessed to be born to them. We didn't ask, we got it."
Moving further in his stint in the show, Koffee With Karan 8, Sunny Deol was also asked about his equation with his half-sisters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, especially after the alleged family feud that happened some time back. In his response, the actor mentioned how above everything else, he couldn’t deny that Esha and Ahana were his sisters, and added how the duo joined him for his success party of Gadar 2.

Well, this hasn’t been the first time that Sunny Deol has addressed the issue of nepotism in Bollywood. For instance, in one of his previous interviews with Lallantop, Sunny mentioned how for the longest time, he never really understood the meaning of nepotism, and added how there is nothing wrong in for a parent to think about the future and well-being of their children. In his words:
“People keep talking about nepotism, and I used to think, what is this even? Phir main baad mein sochne lag gaya, ki baap apne bache ke liye nahi karta, to kiske liye karta hai? Ye baat mujhe samajh mein nahi aati, chaahe jo bhi field mein ho."
