A time when a lot of our favourite celebrities are getting hitched, our Ministers too, are also not lagging behind. A few days back we had shared that Lalu Prasad Yadav’s eldest son, Tej Pratap might tie the nuptial bond sometime next month. But, there was not much information on the same.
However, in a hush-hush ceremony yesterday, the duo got engaged at a five-star hotel in Patna. Only about 100 close family members and friends were invited at the ceremony. See their picture below:

On Lalu Prasad’s 70th birthday in 2017, when media questioned Rabri Devi about the marriage plans of her elder son, she had shared that she was looking for ‘sanskaari’ girls for her sons. Rabri had also added that she is looking for a girl who refrains from visiting malls and theatres and that she should also be a home-maker. As expected, it aroused a mild controversy but Lalu very smartly stepped in and took to Twitter and cleared the air of confusion. He wrote on his page: “Sanskaari bahu doesn't mean veiled, home bound, dependent lady. It means strong willed, loving, caring lady, whether working women or housewife”.
Tej Pratap had recently met Aishwarya Rai at the Patna airport, in the presence of Bihar Pradesh Mahila Congress Chief Amita Bhushan when Tej was returning from New Delhi after visiting his father at AIIMS (Delhi) and Aishwarya was leaving for Delhi to complete her shopping.
