Bollywood actress, Lara Dutta is one of the gorgeous mommy, who knows how to strike a perfect work-life balance. She has been inspiring many moms with her parenting skills and the zeal with which she looks at her career. Recently, Lara Dutta talked about the promise she had made to her husband, Mahesh Bhupathi, the ace tennis player, before the birth of their daughter, Saira.
For the unversed, it was on February 16, 2011, when Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupati had tied the knot in a civil ceremony. And on January 20, 2012, the couple was blessed with a little angel, whom they have named, Saira Bhupati.

Recently, in an interview with The Times of India, Lara talked about the promise she had made her husband, Mahesh before the birth of their daughter. She revealed, " We had made a deal when we found out that I was pregnant with Saira--that, at any given point of time, one parent will be with her. And in the last 10 years, we've managed to keep that promise."
Lara further revealed that whenever she is doing a film, Mahesh makes sure that he is with their daughter all the time. And if If he's away at work, playing in the tennis tour, she takes a sabbatical and makes sure that she is present in their daughter's life.

On September 26, 2021, Lara shared a cute picture with her daughter, Saira. In the picture, we can see her giving a hug to her baby girl. Along with it, she penned a daughter's day wish for her and wrote, "Obiviously her futures bright! #DaughtersDay."
Earlier, in an interview with the PTI, Lara had opened up on motherhood and had shared, "You spend many sleepless nights even before the child is born, figuring out whether you'll be a good mother, be able to live up to everything that's expected. But no amount of worry is going to prepare you when the child is born. Each child goes through its own phases as well. One point of time they are the best-behaved child and then they are the opposite. The day you decide to become a parent, you're signing up for one of the greatest adventures of life which doesn't stop ever."
On the work front, Lara Dutta was last seen in the film, Bell Bottom!
