Legendary musician and singer, Bappi Lahiri had passed away on Tuesday's night, i.e., on February 15, 2022, and this saddening news had hit the news mills on February 16, 2022. Since then, the nation has been mourning the death of the maestro of music who had contributed so much to the Indian film industry.
We were still recovering from the loss of two great singers, Lata Mangeshkar and Sandhya Mukhopadhyay, when another sad news struck us. However, late legendary singer, Bappi Lahiri's son-in-law, Gobind Bansal shared how the veteran musician popularly known as 'Bappi Da' had a heart attack hours before his death.

Late Bappi Lahiri's son-in-law. Gobind Bansal revealed that everyone's favourite Bappi da was admitted to the hospital for a few weeks but was discharged a day before his death. Hours before he died, on February 15, 2022, the veteran singer had a heart attack after having his dinner. Sharing the incident, Gobind Bansal said to ANI:
"He had been admitted in the hospital for three weeks but was discharged and was back home. He also had his dinner last night at around 8:30-9 pm. But within half an hour of having his dinner, he got a heart attack. His pulse rate had gotten low. He was rushed to the hospital and the doctors declared at 11:44 that he is no more."
Bappi Lahiri was admitted at CritiCare Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai. Bappi Lahiri had passed away due to obstructive sleep apnea. And in an interview with The Indian Express, the doctor had given an insight into Bappi da's death, he had said:
"In January, Bappi Lahiri was brought into the hospital for chest infection and Obstructive Sleep Apnea. He was admitted here for 29 days, including 18 days he was in the ICU. He then recovered well and his parameters were stable and he was undergoing pulmonary rehabilitation. On Monday, February 14, he was given a discharge. He stayed at home for about one and a half days, and then his health started deteriorating and his family called us up, so we rushed to his residence with an ambulance. He was here around 11:30 pm on Tuesday, and very critical, we tried reviving him, but he ultimately passed away around 11:40 – 11:45 pm on Tuesday night."

The picture had shown the late singer's wife crying inconsolably as his family members were carrying his body. She was so much in pain as she lost everything with her husband's demise.
