Sonakshi Sinha's wedding to Zaheer Iqbal has become the talk of the town. Earlier, reports were rife that Sonakshi's family was not happy with her decision to marry Zaheer, but eventually, they agreed. While Shatrughan Sinha claimed that all was well in their family, his sons, Luv and Kush's absence from the wedding raised many eyebrows. For some days, Luv Sinha has been dropping cryptic notes about his absence from his sister's wedding.
On July 2, 2024, Luv Sinha dropped a post on his X handle, confirming that he skipped Sonakshi and Zaheer's wedding. He further shared a quote about Zaheer's antecedents and claimed that he doesn't want to associate with some people. Luv's post created a controversy on social media, after which he deleted the statement. Making his final post on the entire fiasco, Luv mentioned that he was incorrectly attributed. He wrote:
"The quote that is being incorrectly attributed to me is not my statement, and was written in an article by a senior journalist. The matter is now closed, and I will not be commenting on it any further."

Taking to his IG handle, on June 30, 2024, Luv shared a strong statement, slamming the online campaign against him. In his note, Luv expressed his disappointment over the rumours and mentioned that his family is his top priority. Not just this, Luv also shared a link to a news report titled, 'Against The Tide,' which talked about the rumours of Zaheer Iqbal's antecedents. The report mentioned that there was anxiety among the Sinha family about Zaheer's father, Iqbal Ratansi's proximity to a corrupted politician and his stint in Dubai.
Luv Sinha also opened up about why he chose not to attend his sister, Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding with Zaheer Iqbal, revealing that he didn’t wish to associate with certain people. Crediting media personnel for doing proper research instead of spreading false stories being put out by PR. In his words:
“The reasons are very clear as to why I didn’t attend and would not associate with certain people, no matter what. I’m glad a member of the media did their research instead of relying on creative stories being put out by a PR team.”

Meanwhile, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are currently enjoying their honeymoon. The doting husband shared a video from their lunch date on his IG stories. In the video, Sonakshi was dressed in a simple black-hued T-shirt and was seen laughing uncontrollably. She was sitting with her hand over her mouth while enjoying a scrumptious meal. Zaheer hashtagged the video as 'Husband Hacks' and captioned it as:
“She wanted to shout at me, but I made her laugh instead.”
