Veteran actor, Shatrughan Sinha has been hospitalised days after his daughter, Sonakshi’s wedding to Zaheer Iqbal. While the earlier reports claimed that the actor was visiting for his routine checkup, it was later revealed that he tripped in his dining hall and hurt his rib region on June 25, 2024. Moreover, Sonakshi and Zaheer were also spotted exiting the Kokilaben Hospital a few days back, igniting rumours about the former's pregnancy.

Earlier, a report in Times Now stated that when Shatrughan Sinha was getting up from the sofa in his dining room, he tripped over a carpet. Sonakshi, who was sitting right beside her dad, managed to hold his hand immediately. The family called for medical help as Shatrughan Sinha felt pain in his rib region, and the actor reportedly underwent surgery. However, now, Luv denied all such claims about surgical procedures and said:
"I have been going there (to the hospital) every day, so (I) can tell you that there was no surgical procedure."
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot on June 23, 2024, and their union came as a surprise to many people. The duo had an interfaith marriage, but Sonakshi didn't convert her religion to Islam to tie the knot with Zaheer. However, people left no stone unturned to spew hatred on the newly-wedded couple and even tagged their wedding as 'Love Jihad'. While Sonakshi and Zaheer kept mum on the criticism, the actress disabled the comment section of her wedding pictures post.

It looks like Shatrughan Sinha was completely unfazed by the ongoing protests against Sonakshi Sinha's interfaith marriage. However, in an interview with Times Now, Shatrughan mentioned that people will always have something to say about others, and his daughter's marriage is their personal matter. Adding that Sonakshi has done nothing illegal or unconstitutional, Shatrughan said:
"Anand Bakshi Saab has written about such professional protesters Kuch toh log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna. My daughter has done nothing illegal or unconstitutional. A marriage is a very personal decision between two people. No one has the right to interfere or comment. To all the protestors I say, 'Go get a life. Do something useful with your life.' Bas, aur kuch nahin kehna."
We wish Shatrughan Sinha a speedy recovery!
