In a recent interaction with Bollywood Bubble, Madhuri Dixit talks about frequently facing double standards in the society. She revealed being frequently told by many to give up on her love for dancing, since she is now a mother of her grown up sons. In her words:

“Aisa hota hai ki alag alag logon ki alag alag soch hoti hai, aur bohot se log aise kehte hai ki aap to maa ban gayi hai abhi aap kyu dance kar rahi hai. Aap baithiye, aap ghar dekhiye, aap aisa kijiye aap waisa kijiye. Lekin mujhe aise lagta hai ki yeh toh hum sab karte hi hai. You know, bachho ko dekhna ya ghar sambhalna, yeh sab karte hi hai. Kuch apne liye, apna bhi ek wajood, apna bhi ek personality hoti hai. Aap ko khud bhi aap ke apne bhi emotions bhi hai. Kuch aise cheezein hai jo aap chahte hai life mein. Kuch aap apna karna chahte ho.”

Madhuri Dixit revealed if she would be joining politics anytime soon

Previously in an interaction with Zee 24 Taas, along with her husband, Shriram Nene, Madhuri Dixit opened up about the probability of her joining politics anytime soon. The diva, in her response, clearly mentioned that she isn’t interested in politics. Moreover, she reacted how every time that there is an election, people are quick to speculate whether she would be a part of it. In her words:

“No, not at all, I have no interest in politics. Every time there is an election, these rumours are spread about me. But no, I’m not interested.”

Madhuri once claimed that her marriage with Shriram Nene was tough

Earlier, during a video on her husband, Shriram Nene’s YouTube channel, Madhuri Dixit opened up on several unheard anecdotes from her personal life. She mentioned that since her husband is a doctor by profession, there were multiple times when her husband was nowhere beside her. Calling their marital journey tough, she mentioned going through her husband’s busy erratic schedule, and added how much difficult it was for her to cope up alone.

Madhuri talked about getting body shamed back in the 90s in the film industry

In another of her earlier interviews with Bollywood Hungama, Madhuri Dixit talked about the initial years of her career in the film industry. The actress recalled that she was mercilessly body-shamed and heard people asking her to gain some weight. In her words:

“During my time… they thought I was too skinny to begin with. Yeh heroine, isko thoda mota karo (make this heroine gain weight) they used to say. I don’t think that that’s an issue now.”
