The Dhak Dhak girl of Bollywood and the nation's crush in the '90s, Madhuri Dixit's love story is as exceptional as her career. Madhuri had quit acting at the peak of her career when she got married to a US-based doctor, Sriram Nene, in 1999. The actress had shifted to the United States after marriage. Later, when their kids grew up, the duo returned to India, and Madhuri lived her acting dream again.

Madhuri and her husband, Sriram, often share throwback pictures of their married life on their respective social media handles. On March 1, 2021, Shriram Nene had shared a rare unseen picture with his wifey, Madhuri. Alongside the picture, Dr Nene had written, "My oh my, how they grow."
On May 4, 2021, Madhuri Dixit took to her IG handle and shared a vintage picture with her husband, Sriram Nene. In the picture, Madhuri can be seen wearing denim overalls, hugging her husband and laughing for the camera. Penning a sweet message beside the picture, Madhuri wrote, "Hold your loved ones closer than ever. #MayThe4thBeWithYou."
On February 26, 2021, Sriram Nene had given a glimpse of himself preparing a homemade pizza for Madhuri. In the picture, which he had shared, we could see him giving a bite of the pizza to the actress. Along with it, he had written, "Homemade pizza anyone? Coming up on my YT channel soon...what’s your favourite dish?"

On Valentine’s Day, i.e., February 14, 2021, Shriram Nene had penned a lovely wish for his ladylove, Madhuri Dixit. He had shared a mesmerising picture with her from one of their vacations and had written, “This Valentine's is all about love - for your spouse, your family, friends, and yourself. Never forget that we live in a world where love will conquer all. To my one and only sweetheart, MD, much love and a very happy Valentine's Day. And to all of you, much love for coming on the journey with us!”

In an interview with ETimes, Madhuri had shared that she had learnt most of the cooking after marriage and had said, “When I was growing up, I knew a little bit of cooking. I could make an omelette or batatyachi bhaaji or poha... those kind of things. I never had the opportunity to cook because I started working very early in life and got busy. I learnt most of the cooking that I know today after I got married. Ram had a French cook there (in the US), and he assisted him as a sous chef. So, he has learnt a lot of recipes, which he can make from scratch - be it continental, French or Italian cuisine.”
In a throwback interview with Simi Garewal for her show, Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, the actress had revealed that she used to wake up early just to cook for her husband. She had stated, "I used to make breakfast for my husband when he was in cardiovascular surgery. I used to wake up at 5:30, make breakfast for him, of course, he used to leave for work and I used to go back to sleep for some time. I savoured every minute of it."
