Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor are among the most adorable couples in Tinseltown. For the uninitiated, Sanjay married Maheep in 1997. The two are proud parents to Shanaya Kapoor and Jahaan Kapoor. On December 9, 2023, Sanjay and Maheep celebrated 25 years of togetherness and renewed their wedding vows. However, their marriage often faced many problems, but they chose to overcome them together.
In a recent interview with Zoom, Maheep Kapoor recalled the tough times when she openly addressed her husband, Sanjay’s affair and revealed her decision to remain committed to their marriage. She also addressed her perspective on discussing Sanjay’s affair on the show, Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives, and said:
“I feel people just don’t want to step out of the box and look at that person and try to stand in his shoes and understand. Give everybody a break. Everyone is not perfect, and everyone is going to **** up. It’s fine.”

Maheep’s friend and Chunky Panday’s wife, Bhavana Pandey, who was also present during the interview, added that Maheep is comfortable with her choice of sailing through her marriage. Reacting to it, Maheep further talked about the importance of creating a supportive environment for their children and said:
“You can have an opinion about it but don’t be nasty about it. I also have opinions but I am not nasty about it. The kids needs to know you are there, their father is there and that’s it. They need to have that comfort zone and know that this is their safe zone.”
During the interaction, when Maheep was asked about who among her and Sanjay was the stricter parent, she took her husband's name. She further blamed Sanjay's extensive dating history and shared that the latter gets paranoid about their daughter, Shanaya. Talking about the same, Maheep said:
“I think it’s Sanjay who feels that. I think he has dated so many women, so he has realised that all that kameena sh*t that he did… he gets paranoid with his daughter. It’s the truth. He would go mental about Shanaya, my son… he was like fine, he is okay but with Shanaya, I had to tell him to calm down. Then I realised he is thinking what if some boy does what he did. He is stricter one but now he is a little calmer with Shanaya.”

For the unversed, back in 2022, Maheep Kapoor made shocking revelations about her personal life on the Netflix series, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. She talked about her husband, Sanjay Kapoor’s, infidelity early in their marriage. Speaking to Seema Sajdeh, Maheep had said that Sanjay had indiscretions initially in their marriage, and she decided to walk out with Shanaya. She added that if she looks back, she feels proud that she didn't break this relationship, or else she would have regretted it all her life.
