Maheep Kapoor Called Out For Saying Janhvi And Shanaya Are 'On Their Own' And 'Working In The Sun'

Bollywood actor, Sanjay Kapoor's wife, Maheep Kapoor, rose to meteoric fame after she appeared on the Netflix show, Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives. She has often made headlines for her bold statements on the series. Recently, one of her old tone-deaf comments surfaced on the discussion platform, Reddit, and people on the internet have been reacting to it.

Maheep Kapoor heaped praises on Janhvi Kapoor and Shanaya Kapoor for earning at a young age

In the video, which was a short clip from Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Shanaya Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor was heard heaping praises on her daughter and Janhvi. She said that the two cousins had started earning at a very young age. Maheep was quoted as saying:

"I’m proud of both of you. People don’t know, they don’t know! Whatever it is, you guys are out there, you’re on your own, you’re so young, working in the sun, killing it. It’s true."

Meanwhile, Janhvi and Shanaya, who were sitting with Maheep at the dinner table, were seen making funny faces as the latter complimented their achievements. Further, in the same video, Maheep goes on to add how her little daughter, Shanaya, has all grown up and has started talking like an adult. Maheep said:

"Yesterday they were babies, and suddenly she’s talking about look tests, and she’s talking about, you know, my film is releasing, and they’re talking like adults. They’re earning at this age. A lot of girls her age are still under the mom and dad’s umbrella. She’s out on her own, and I have tremendous respect."

Soon, netizens took to the comment section of the post and started calling out Maheep for her comments. They mentioned that Janhvi and Shanaya had got several benefits as they belonged to an already renowned family in the industry. Some even said that the starlets are not really 'on their own' as the Kapoor family has deep ties within the industry.

While talking to Sohail Khan's ex-wife, Seema Sajdeh, Maheep revealed that she walked out with Shanaya once she learned about her husband's infidelity. However, she returned, considering that her daughter, Shanaya, won't get the love of her father. She was quoted as saying:

"Initially in my marriage, there was an indiscretion that Sanjay had or whatever. I walked out with Shanaya. I stood up for myself, but then, I had a newborn baby. Again, as a woman and as a mother, the first priority is my child. I owed my daughter this amazing father, which he is. I owed it to myself. And if I look back and if I broke this up, I would have regretted it all my life. Because when my kids walk into my home and my husband walks into my home, this is their sanctuary. They need to feel peace. And I feel Sanjay gives that to me also."
